Agreed, I hope this battle continues for many weeks to come. Of course I don't care who wins, I just want to see plenty of blood, pain and fear.

I like Dustin Berg. He is great on the X3F podcast.

This Justin/Dustin dust up is quite perplexing, especially because it seems to be all about whose penis is bigger.

As a black bull, I find these disputes mildly amusing.

actually as you will find out, each world in braid gives you a different skill - it's brilliantly innovative, play it all :) as for world 1 where it is not linear in that you need a later piece, that appears to not happen for the rest of the worlds. you can pretty much solve each world on its own. love it :)

I've also been playing Fable (between sessions of GW2 and Diablo II). Whisper is a kill stealing whore and I hate her.

Yeah, she is pretty much a whore with no redeeming qualities.

I'm sure I'm going to get flamed by this, but I've noticed Justin is dropping the f*bomb in the podcasts now, and I'm hoping it doesn't continue and get even worse.

So far, joystiq has been one of the few "clean" (at least in a language sense) podcasts left for video games, not that I don't swear myself at times, but there is something to say about being able to communicate without dropping "da bomb" maybe I'm too uppity, but I think overall the more swearing the less intelligence.

If you don't believe me, just listen to some of those IGN podcasts and there's nothing more idiotic sounding then when someone is swearing like a middle schooler, not because the swearing fits, but because like a middle schooler, they can.

I know Chris has responded to the swearing question before and I couldn't agree more, hopefully he keeps the podcast as "clean" as possible.

The myraid of scrotum based humor (which is hilarous I might add) proves you don't need the fbomb to have a mature and intelligent podcast.

So let me get this straight. You consider jokes about boners to be mature and intelligent and the word "fuck" to be immature and insipid?

You had me til the last paragraph then you just lost me. I'll agree with all except the last paragraph.

Seriously, There's nothing wrong with some f-bombs.
I think as adults we can speak our minds as we so choose.

Dick jokes are fun as long as there's no fucking involved.

First off Shagittarius - hilarious.
Secondly I feel that if someone wants to swear and doesn't it sounds so forced, like watching a censored version of a movie after you've seen the uncensored version already.

It reminds me of an old Showcase commercial with the scene from The Usual Suspects, all the characters are asked to say "Gimme the keys you 'fuzzy sock sucker'"

Funny but not as emphatic as the original.

Or the censored version of American Pie - Mom I'd Love to "FEEL".

I'll agree that too much is ridiculous but don't force yourselves.

/Agree with everyone else. I don't get how you would be more offended by "fuck" and less offended by "There's my Steed".

It may seem 'crazy-logic' but I think how you swear and for what reason plays a role in how offensive it is deemed. I don't think the guys swear with malice, or to be cool - I think it's just done for humourous effect. It's like you're sitting, chatting with your buddies listening to the show - if one of your friends dropped the 'f-word' every now and then I don't think you'd have a problem with them.

And that leads on to my next point: X3F - I see the occasional pauses in the show NOT as awkward silence, but as an indication of how well the guys get along, and how much they respect their listeners. It's not like X3F where every second must be filled with trash dialogue so the audience of 8 year-olds doesn't leave early (for the record, that shocking and not in any way immature insult was aimed solely at Dustin - I actually like Richard and Xav.) The Joystiq audience is a mature group (in general) - I think it's a great thing that the guys talk to us on an equal level. Don't hate the players, Dustin! Hate any game that isn't Halo or GoW!

One more thing: Fuck censorship.

With the last paragraph, I should have been more exhaustive in my description, I think for the most part their bodily humour is more innuendo, which in my opinion is more intelligent, for the most part, it's implied. Not sure if that makes 100% sense or not, but at least it does in my mind :)

Funny bit on GTAIV, I was just thinking the other day "Wasn't this game the best game ever made a while ago? what happened to that?"

Geometry wars 2 is still crack, And I hate ludwig has officially beaten all my scores into submission :( :@

Make that "he *has." typo's are great.

I actually spend a few moments in quiet disbelief, followed by despair, followed by dismissively muttering "South Africa must be really boring" every time I fire up Geometry Wars 2 and see Ludwig's score.

A Great podcast up to when my heart broke at the Brush With Fame. Really guys? I mean you take a cat with 509 posts over me THE ORIGINATOR of the blue berry muffin top revolution? I'm sorry I dont whore my posts. But now is just the begining...the begining of the end where i will whore my post count and post in EVERY Justin McElroy post that comes through this websites virtual gates. I'm not mad but I'm dissapointed. Needless to say Ludwig is now my favorite maybe he can recognize dedication and sense.

I just wanted to comment on something from last weeks show (which I just listened to this morning), why the hell would someone write to you guys and complain about "the games you're making".

I remember when magazines used to get those, and I thought...well that makes a kind of sense...someone buys a game informer at gamestop, where they buy games...maybe they're not savy enough to realize that gamestop doesn't make both.

But for someone to be with it enough to browse to Joystiq and send a complaint to their podcast?

It just makes no kind of sense.

having said that, I really wish you guys could tighten up the graphics in level three. And maybe use some of those sound effects from level 1.

RE: Tip of the week...

It seems like the super-smart people sending tips have Joystiq confused with someone else, but could it be that they're actually emailing the right people and CCing Joystiq? In order to bring media attention to their earnest and very important grievances?

i like gta4, but i didn't get into it like most other gtas. it took away alot of freedom and gave you alot of responsibility. my current knock against it is the taxi missions. i used to just aquire a taxi and take fairs so i could just cruise around the city, listen to music and spot jumps and shotcuts. can't do that as far i have gotten. it just doesn't feel the same. i like the story but the freedom to do other things is what kept the previous games in my console.

oh and i can barely make out the cell phone and theres no log like the prvious ones had for txt messages. the hard to see text put me behind before in gta and this is even worse. why do you treat me like this rockstar?

Usually I'd hit X3F, Sarcastic Gamers, then Joystick.. but this little feud has me listening to Joystick right after X3F.
