I must say, as a current gen Wii-only owner, I find myself jealous of the offerings the competition has to offer lately.

Yeah, this summer has been very poor, especially compared to what Wii offered up last summer

But this is when DS picks up the slack, at least for me, and for others

Bangai-O Spirits, Izuna 2, FFIV, FFTA2, etc. Two of which i picked up

For those that already think Braid is fantastic, surely you've finished it?

It's a solid puzzler, but the sheer brilliance for me was in the ending.

So why would you still be playing? You find speed-running a puzzlegame enjoyable?

I tried the demo of it last night thinking that the $15 price tag was a bit steep for my liking. After about a half an hour of playing around in the demo, I bought it.
Next thing I knew it was 2 in the morning and I had to be up in 4 hours. I'm going to finish it tonight. I find it Portalesque in it's addictiveness.

I am a completionist so, I will not run through Braid without piecing together all of the paintings. Or suffering a concussion from banging my head on my coffee table. World 5 is *difficult*.

Oh and buy this game.

Hope to see you on BF:H. I don't know anyone on it, but that doesn't hamper the fun at all. So what if the Gunners are broke, killing people is still fun.

After a 30 mins wait at Gamestop, they brought me Space Invaders Extreme for DS instead of PSP (they didn't even know about the game), so since I didn't want to stay there any longer, I just took the DS version...

Addicting indeed, it will keep me busy for the weekend, I can just see myself with claw hands...damn DS, sigh

After my Xbox 360 RRoDed on me and my PC crapped out too, I'm left only to my newly purchased PS3. Pixel Junk Eden, Super Star Dust HD, and currently renting Folklore. Hope to play Geometry Wars 2 and Braid once my Xbox gets back.

Gears, as always.

On the multiplayer front, just finished MGS4 so looking to start something new. Maybe Viking or Bourne or Lost Odyssey. Probably not Lost Odyssey as I need something short with Madden, Too Human, and Mercs 2 coming out this month.

Why didn't you photoshop Ludwig looking like a chipmunk? I know that's how I looked... Like a high chipmunk. Those dentists have good stuff.

For me, I'm going to be enjoying Braid, Super Stardust HD, and screaming at my tv while I attempt to finish NG2 on mentor.

I'm on a lull right now. I've given up FFTA2 for now, and can't play my copy of Izuna 2 for another week if i want it to qualify as a paid-for birthday present

So in between, I finish my second playthrough of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and finally get around to beating the Mirror CC cups that i never got around to on Mario Kart Wii (which is tough, because i'm going right back to the hardest difficulty after not having played the game for two months)

Ah, I remember my last Wisdom Tooth recovery session. Played through Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. On my original Gamecube, too, because I was too lazy to move my Wii closer to my bed. Ah, fun times.
...
Aside from the...you know, the pain. And the blood. And the...ya know what, I'll shut up now.

I just bought Final Fantasy Tactics A2 yesterday, so I might be spending some time with that gem. I'm also looking into Geometry Wars 2 for the multiplayer. And maybe try out Braid, as well.

I also took pictures when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, but of my bloody, mangled gums, and sent them to everyone I knew. None of them read my emails anymore. I also had several angry voicemails which I found after regaining consciousness 2 days later. Those painkillers were the BEST.

Is this a common thing to do, or are Ludwig and I just assholes?

Nice new post, hope it catches and becomes a weekly thing.

Playing Final Fantasy 6 on the GBA/DS. Just finished getting everyone / espers, so now entering Kefka's Tower. After that, starting up FFCC:DS solo story or FFTA2. Not sure yet.

As far as the console go, well... I haven't thought that far. I suppose I have Dead Rising, Call of Duty 4, Beautiful Katamari, or Rainbow Six: Vegas that I still haven't touched yet... Also might go back to Lost Odyssey to round off some post-game stuff. We'll see! Final Fantasy 6 / Rings of Fate are my main focus though.

While still recovering from my buddy's B-day party last night, I'll be crying that my 360's still in the shop and I haven't played Geo2 or Braid...
I did get to show that if it wasn't in the shop, I would be completely better than anyone I know at SCIV, but alas...

Otherwise, same as last week: FFIV DS (I know I'm slow, but I haven't finished it yet) and the amazing Battlefield: Heroes beta.

I won't be playing any games this weekend as my brother is celebrating his birthday, but there won't be a party as there is a funeral to prepare for. But if I find the time I may finish up Another Day on TWEWY. Though, I've been saying that for six weeks now.
