The first PS3 title from Sly Cooper creator Sucker Punch was shown behind closed doors at E3, which is a shame. inFAMOUS looks great, leveraging its developer's talents in art design, animation, and platforming to create an electrifying open-world action experience.
We've already reported on what we saw of this promising 2009 title; now it's your chance to get a five-minute guided tour of the game. There are no edits in this HD vid (courtesy of G4), so you get a feel for what it's like to have a developer walking you through its creation. Of course, this also means there's plenty of running around not doing much, since all the cool bits haven't been condensed into a trailer.
The parts of this video that stand out most are the platforming (strong Assassin's Creed vibe there), a moment in combat when the player "restrains" a foe to the ground with electricity, and a very unique use of his powers – acting as a human defibrillator to jump-start the heart of a dying pedestrian. Wow, looks like this could be a system seller if marketed right.
My only concern is that it seems like a bitch to control. Either that or the demo guy sucks at the game.

Looked like the guy didn't know what he was doing. He couldn't "shoot" anyone very well.

the stage demo video on gamespot has much better footage (the con is that the gamespot staff is rather annoying)

That looks like it could be fun. The person playing it makes it look like it is hard to aim. The graphics looked pretty nice as well.

i know that it is too early to judge, and i am sure that they will put a lot of effort into making this game better, but i noticed a few things in the gameplay which i hope will be fixed, or at least accounted for. first of all, although the electricity is extremely cool, like amazing, it feels like it could get repetitive. the character just kept on zapping people, sure he used some hand to hand combat, but still he only really zapped. i am sure there is more he can do with the electricity, i just prefer to have an array of weapons to choose from. not just electricity, but guns, baseball bats, and hidden knives in my sleeve. second, and this is more of a minor issue i saw, the pedestrians walking down the street, although some ran frantically, most just kind of ignorantly walked by while guns and explosions were happening. again, it doesn't ruin the game, it would just be nice if they were less..... dumb.
and that is all for my ranting,
as they say, if you forget to fry an egg, there is always seven more!

I noticed a fair number of things that were displeasing about the video.
-Some graphical pop-in similar to GTA4 happens while he is standing on the train.
-The camera seems to need to some work, noticeable especially when he is on the hotel sign.
-Jumping seemed really really over exaggerated. It is kind of a super hero game but I mean he isn't Spiderman or anything.
-Some weird looking animations and stances like how he was standing on the train and how he was holding onto the railing when he was shooting.
aside from that, easy things to fix, the game looks pretty solid. Can't wait for it.

Wow, did they let Stephen Hawking play the demo or what? Talk about worst gamer ever... Can't lead targets, bad reaction time, and no idea where to place himself for the defib/shock heal bystander thingy.
Looks good though.

Still I'm not impressed at all it just looks like the PS3s version of Crackdown which may not be a bad thing but I just don't feel like having my PS3 do the same exact shit my 360s doing I mean first all the FPSs now this.
