Calling all graphic design enthusiasts: Media Molecule is looking for your ideas on a LittleBigPlanet logo. The aptly-titled LittleBigChallenge -- the first of many to come according to the new LBP community site -- is just for fun; there is nothing to win from this and we're fairly sure your creation has no chance of becoming the official LBP logo. You can use the (tragically small) 324 pixel-width template, or go ahead and make your own from scratch.
Creations are asked to be added to Flickr with a LittleBigChallenge 001 tag (as of this writing, two images have already been uploaded). We'd like to see what the Joystiq Design Community is capable of, so be sure to show off your submissions in the comments below.

I like the top right one the best. The bottom left one is barely readable.

Pointless comment. It's ok to keep your opinions to yourself every once in a while.

Hey, LBP dev - why don't you ship the game and stop coasting on tired hype? Nobody's actually seen more than two minutes of 'gameplay' and all previews just talk about how 'adorable' SackBoy is. How about, you know, a GAME?!?

I don't know where you've been, but you clearly haven't read any of the billion previews on the internet about the game. Either that or you haven't read more than the first sentence because there's a lot of info on the game other than "sackboy is cute".

Ok, I have always wondered this, but do we know EVERYTHING about the game, or do they still keep unveiling new stuff?
Also 1) Can you make enemies (simple goomba-like enemies, or bigger ones?)
2) Can your characters say stuff, like text-boxes?
3) Does it have like events and scene-triggers?
Those 3 additions would make SO MANY re-imaginings of games possible, especially RPGs. I can't wait for the eventual Cloud sackboy :P

No we don't know everything. Last week or so the head of media molecule said there was 1 last huge announcement to make about the game. No it's not a multiplatform release as the IP is owned by sony. If I had to guess, it would be PSP remote play and other features.
As for your other questions:
1) Yes you can make enemies although I'm not sure how far in depth you can go.
2) I'm pretty sure you can make sackboy say basic text stuff, but I thought I heard when you talk on a mic his lips supposedly make out what you say. Not 100% sure on that though.
3) Yes you can make scene triggers and events. Not sure how in depth you can go but one example given out was walking on a rope bridge and having it break when everyone's halfway across and have them fall down to a new part of the level.

Here's another example of a basic event, this time with a boss. It doesn't show a whole lot of what you can do event wise, but it at least shows that you can make a basic boss intro and have them say stuff.

It won't be too in-depth. As far as I know, you take a picture with the PSEye and create a "sticker" with it, which you can then place on a box or whatnot and stick it on a character's head. This is all conjecture based on what I've read about, though this is meant to be a "casual" game.
Keep in mind that there's also a pretty small upload limit for all your levels and stuff, too. That's the thing that I'm being most pessimistic about, and I hope that they up the limit. Although I suppose people will get around it by splitting their narrative into parts.
On the whole, I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. I'm not expecting anything huge, so hopefully it'll blow me away.

i've seen about a million stories about little big planet and have yet to understand what the hype is about or what's supposed to be so great about the game.
i mean yeah it looks pretty decent. but all this hype for one game developed by the makers of rag doll kung fu? i don't see it being terribly deep or fun. i can see it as one of those physics toy games with user creatable levels that gets old in about 10 minutes because it has no goals or plot.
then again, i've never played any of it so i wouldn't know. not to be a hater/fanboy, but i think maybe this has to do with this being the only PS3 exclusive really coming out at all?
you may want to color me biased. the only puzzle game i ever really enjoyed to the point of playing it for more than 6 months was tetris.

Yep, ur biased. It has nothing to do with PS3 exclusivity.
This game not only lets you create lvels, but prettty much lets u make anything u want. You can create the lvels in the game, and with 4 players at once create a lelve and share it with the world. Basically, this game has unlimited levels, and an amazing editor you can basically create ur own game with.
You wouldn't buy that? I would, and i will
