receive an implanted bionic arm for swinging around and shooting
non-Hitlers into oblivion. If you wish to enlist into
Bionic Commando Rearmed on Xbox Live this Wednesday, you're going to have to shell out 800 MS points (US $10). PC and
non-Euro PlayStation 3 owners will also get their
BCR fix this week, although those who favor the keyboard and mouse will
pay a $5 premium.
Also coming out this week is
Fable 2's XBLA gambling counterpart
Pub Games, which will let you earn money now before the game's
October 21 release. Entry fee to
ye olde casino is 800 MS points (US $10), or free if you pre-order
Fable 2 at a participating retailer.

I'd rather not start Fable with boat loads of money, but it would be useful for multiple play throughs, and there's some pretty cool unique items you can win from them too.

Does anyone know who the "participating retailers" are? I'm guessing GameStop, and possibly the Best Buy and Circuit City, but have been unable to find a list of them anywhere. Granted, I didn't look very hard.

Gamestop and Amazon.com are 100% doing it.
Some BestBuys too. No Circuit City.
More importantly- there is a full setof achievements for this release!

i have 1600 Microsoft points that i am either going to buy Braid with or this and geometry wars 2.
the only thing im waiting on is to play the BCR demo to see if its going to be worth it as it got a 7/10 from GamesTM magazine review. and i shy away from arcade games with that score. and if BCR isn't worth it i am just going to buy Braid.

I took advantage of the $15 for 1600 MS Points sale at Target (bought 4 cards!) in anticipation of all the upcoming XBLA games!
...and AFTER I loaded the points into the 360, I remembered that I actually wanted Bionic Commando on the PS3 because of the exclusive content. Oh well, 8000+ points to go crazy with now! Time to fill up my Zune and grab a bunch of DLC.

Awesome! I've been waiting for Rearmed for a while. I loved the original and the little "clink" sound of grappling. Now add new graphics and co-op = sold!

I was about to preorder Fable at my local Gamestop but apparently the deposit is $10 minimum instead of the usual $5, "since you get the free XBLA game." I said "fuck that" and walked out. Actually, I stayed and chatted a little and then walked out.

@PhydeWice: ? If you're trying to educate me on how preorders work, I already know. I used to work there. And apparently it's $10 for reg. edition too. Anyway, it's just that $10 of my money isn't doing any good for me sitting in Gamestop's bank instead of my wallet. Esp. for a game not coming out until Oct., by which time I will be in Japan. I just thought it'd be fun to play the pub games.
