While promoting THQ's SmackDown Vs. Raw in London, the WWE's Randy Orton told Eurogamer that he wants to see more violence in games. He believes parents shouldn't be worrying about games when some don't even know their kids are watching shows like South Park.
The 28-year-old pro wrestler, who became a dad for the first time last month, believes movie violence has way more "f*cked up sh*t" than games. The man who makes a living off professional violence points out that playing Mortal Kombat when he was younger didn't hurt him in the long run. So, what's the father of a newborn play when he's not "too covered in poop"? Orton says he plays Mario Kart, but he doesn't use the wheel because he thinks it's "just a gimmick."

I agree with him.
I bet no one here can name a game that has more graphic violence than the Saw or hostel movies.
I think it's unfair how the movie industry gets away with it while the video game industry gets bad publicity on main stream news stations for violence.
Their only argument is that kids will play these violent games as their old fashion views picture some 4 year old play super mario on the snes while the majority of gamers these days are grown up and mature.
Also its not like kids aren't going to see 18+ movies anyway.

You idiots are bashing him because he's a wrestler? Isn't this a point that you've been trying to prove for a while that games shouldn't be blamed for violence in society any more than other forms of media (movies, in this case)? He's speaking out on a point that us gamers have been trying to speak on for so long now but just haven't been heard.

I don't know about that, but then I've never seen many of the slasher movies people seem to watch. I do know this, there was less blood in 300 than the hours of decapitation in Ninja Gaiden 2.
