You've got to see Pac-Man: The (other) Movie

As Hollywood continues to deny us the Vin Diesel-starring Pac-Man feature film we all know is coming, amateurs have filled in the gap with their own takes on how gaming's pizza-shaped patriarch could make the leap to the big screen.

We've already seen Pac-Man the action hero, now Tyler Russel and Stanley Wong bring us a much more honest, unflinching vision: Pac-Man unstoppable force of saffron terror. Watch what happens when four innocent ghosts are terrorized by the insatiable yellow menace, but be warned: It isn't pretty.

Wow, I am in complete shock my movie actually made it to the website. Thanks a lot for the comments you guys.

To the people saying Inky is supposed to be more passive while Blinky is supposed to be more agressive, is this in the cartoon or something or are y'all just making A.I. assumptions? We purposely made each character represent a survival horror stereotype. It seemed fitting for Blinky to be the false leader of sorts. For Inky, I just wanted to be an asshole.

You did an awesome job, only issue i had is that it looked like there were 2 red guys. I thought one of them was supposed to be orange. If they were actually different colors, it didn't show up really well.

Honestly, best pacman movie I've ever seen, only thing I would have changed is I would have left it as the retro pacman so that it just had a black mouth and black eyes instead of giving it the face and tongue and stuff. I suppose you could always go back and redo that though, provided you have the original base film to add the CG into.

Ugh. I've gotten that my whole life....

It's weird you mention that about the color. I've never really noticed that before and no one else seemed to complain about it, but I did recently add more blue to the picture overall so maybe that made it harder to distinguish.

We had a number of models to choose from in the final film and I went with the one you see now because honestly I really wanted the "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Effect" where you have a walking giant of death with a huge smile on his face. IMO, it adds more to the hilarity.

Ah I see, well great stuff. Any reason why you went CG for pac-man? And plastic bags for the ghosts? Why not vice-versa?

Well the whole point of the movie is following the perspective of the ghosts. If we made them CG, I don't think it would the story would come off as effectively. I can't even imagine how ridiculous it would be if we did anything other than CG for the pacman. At one point we were considering using green screen and just having a floating human head go around because our original intention was for the look of the movie to completely contrast to the game and then when we intercut scenes from the game in there it would I guess add comedy or something.

For those complaining about the inaccuracies laid throughout the game, not every movie is a complete adaptation. I used what works best for the movie. I even took out the entire concept of power pellets and no one seems to mind.

Not to be rude, Even though I know I am. I hated it, was boring and long. My friends and I were bored one day and made a pac-man movie Idea. A corrupt Lawyer named Mr. Pacman (like goldman not gold-man) who is addicted to Pills (power pills reference), he eventually gets arrested in a high security prison and must find a way to excape from the jail (maze) The guards are nicknamed Inky, Blinky, etc.. for various quirks they possess. Oscar Caliber stuff. LOL

Too long and boring? Wow, I honestly don't know what to say. We really did try to accommodate the people with attention spans under 5 minutes, but I guess we forgot to think about those who can't handle anything above the length of a commercial.

Also, as long as we're being honest here, your idea sounds pretty poor as well. Especially if you managed to fit all that story in less than 5 minutes.

I'm also going to concur that it's a bit long, at the risk of another quip about attention spans.

But only make one if you REALLY think that less than five minutes of ANYTHING couldn't possibly be too long.

Also as people said before, the annoying yelling actor, and the Pacman were a bit off. It's always a disappointment when you see the monster. :D

I really liked the start, the flash to a ghost running in a frenzy, and the idea of the panic room they tentatively emerge from, but the last 3 minutes or so did make it a bit of a chore for little reward.

Errors:

Pinky is supposed to be male in the game. SUE is the only female ghost-monster.
Blinky is the toughest in the game.
Who the hell is "Dinky"??? This isn't 80s Pac-Man lore that I know of.
A FACE? Pac-Man has no face! He's just got those little eyes on opposites of his sphere.
Ghost-Monsters flashed Blue-White, not blue-original color.

Still, a good concept. Enjoyable. Could be a Troma film.
