Next Warhawk update is good news for newbs

What you're looking at in that there screen is something that addresses one of the chief complaints about Sony's ever-expanding online shooter, Warhawk: a training mode. After all, with no single-player campaign or bots to speak of, new purchasers basically get dropped into the fray with more skilled opponents, left to fend for themselves. For the forthcoming v1.5 patch, developer Incognito is introducing – among many other things – four tutorial missions, each focusing on a specific gameplay style.
According to a PlayStation Blog update by Warhawk director Dylan Jobe, completing these scenarios will unlock Trophies – a whole slew of which are also being added in the update. Along with these will be custom soundtrack support (which, when playing your own tracks, automagically mutes the game's score – nice!), new ship paint schemes, more insignias, and a clearer designation for "rookie" servers. The dev team is also tossing in special "ceremonial blades" for Warhawk players who participated in the Global Gaming League team event, which wrapped on July 27.
In concluding his address to the Warhawk nation, Jobe teases the next Booster Pack, dropping a hint: "With one of these equipped, a soldier can escape quickly ... even bail out if needed!" Jetpacks, anyone?

Looking forward to this update, Warhawk is without comparison the game I spent the most time on. Nothing wrong about GTA, MGS or any of the other great games I got, but Warhawk has just managed to get things perfect in providing replayable fun which can be enjoyed in doses as short as half an hour if that is what I got available.

Pussies!
Back in my day, we didn't have these FANCY-ass "training" things. We had a party filled with 20 people and the default weapons. You would have to figured out the controls for yourself or yah died, but of course there's all these young'ns these days that don't even say "sir" or "mam", makes me sick!
*spits*

Saying "Pussies!" in the beginning ruined it all.

Pussies!
On Team Fortress 2, we were thrown into the middle of the battlefield in order to become the real men.We only knew to fire with Mouse 1 and move with WSAD.We didn't have no fancy tutorials and the only thing that came anywhere near a manual was the Sentry Set-Up guide. It was tough but in the end, we came out stronger.
Gamers have it easy these days...Adapt & Overcome...

That is very true of TF2, as I remember my first time playing it midway through beta, but I think it was because it was more simplistic and easily directed compared to Warhawk (although I have not played it, I'm going off of other experiences). I got Quake Wars Enemy Territory at the same time I got the TF2 beta, and god damn, I was so turned off by no tutorial to Quake Wars. There was just so much shit, as each class had its own like 5 weapons, compared to TF2's 3 per class. Then there was also the maps, that are enormous and not much guidance, the spy class which I didn't even ever figure out how to cloak.
I will admit, gamers have it easy, but TF2 was just directed way easier to get into.

Try mastering Warhawk flight with the motion controls while accurately firing your independently moving gun turret and then come back and talk about challenges.

a tip for online training: make an extra account for your PSN and use it on new games :) this way you can improve your skills without ruining the status of your real PSN account :P

That's what's fun about warhawk, you suck for awhile and then you start to dominate and you feel good because you've become that douche you used to hate.
