Mentally I have a hard time thinking of him as the PoP, but I think he does look the part rather well. My concern is does he sound the part?

After looking at these pictures, I have realized that I should be his stunt double. I look almost exactly like him. I have slightly more muscle then him but at least my abs are better looking. This is my calling..

If he is persian enough or not will be decided by the accent he'll use when speaking. I'm guessing he'll fail that, even though I believe they nailed the look

They'll be speaking English anyway, so who cares if the accent is right? I would almost bet he speaks with some sort of English accent.

Gyllenhaal is just too goofy looking to play a character like the PoP. He doesn't have the voice either.

They would have been better off with James Franco. He isn't as good of actor, but are films like this ever about good acting.

Hell Yea How did Orlando bloom not get this part? what the hell happened there, he does some serious acrobatic fighting in L.O.T.R and P.O.T.C. Had the long hair, and the slimmer more athletic body. And has a demographic for the genre of movies. What happened?

He looks OK, but I don't really like the hair on his chest and stomach. I think he would do good to shave or at least trim it down to a more smoother length. I don't know what kind of Prince they are going for, are they trying to make their own? Sands of Time Prince? Original Prince?

The Sands of Time is the Prince I like the most and in that his torso is more or less clean shaven and does not look like an older version of Disney's Aladdin.

I'm trying to picture this guy as the Prince...and all I'm seeing is Peter Parker. (Yeah I know that's Toby Maguire...but he's the same type of guy)

I just can't picture Gyllenhaal as a badass.

i am a little skeptical, but i also was when they announced heath ledger to play the joker in batman, and he was fucking kickass. i think its time we keep an open mind about some of these choices they are making, you just might be surprised.

I doubted his being part of this film from the start, mainly due to the fact that the prince is a little more masculine than the feminine featured Gyllenhaal, but I gotta say....they really nailed it. I mean he actually really looks like him.

Heres to hoping he can do something about that pussy voice of his....

Yeah, and Iron Man sucked because Robert Downey Jr. didn't look buff enough, wasn't right for the part, etc. etc. /sarcasm

Good movies are the result of staffing good *actors* not just one's that look a certain way. Gyllenhaal can act, which gives me much hope for this movie.

He looks better than I thought he would but I do agree that he does need a little more definition to his abs. The Prince had more defined lean muscle rather than larger muscles. Maybe it will look better in action rather than as just a picture.

Yeesh, once they cast this dude I stopped caring about this movie. To me that pic looks horrible. I had one of those visions like in the game when I saw it, I saw the movie being another piece of trash. Also there was some a-hole on a cell phone for about 10 mins.

this movie is going to be awful. the only question is which movie will suck less Max Payne or Prince of Persia? Either way The Day After Tomorrow is still the worst at the end of the day. They literally run away from Global Warming!
