lol..
Honestly I think Halo 4 would be quite awesome, but I don't want to see it on the xbox 360. Give the 360 some more halo prequels, and when the next xbox comes out, release halo 4. It would be a strong system seller, plus it would have some great graphical updates! :) I rather see the next big halo on the next big console! ;P hehe..

i disagree. the original xbox got 2 halo games, i dont see why the new one cant. sure putting it on the new xbox would allow it to shine brighter but a lot of 360 fans are gonna be disappointed with just a single halo game on their console.

They are working on new stuff also. But, Halo is basically what they are known for now. So, they will keep making them and I will keep buying them. I just want to know what happened to chief when he flew toward that planet.

I agree, even though I love Halo and it's the only thing I live for, I'd rather wait for Halo 4 or the equivalent sequel to be a launch title for Xbox 3.

That blue wireframe environment at the end is a massive hint. Forge might just be going full blown level designer from scratch! :)

I concur!

I'm thinking Halo 3 PC with full blown level editor and even better video making capabilities. I'd be surprised if the tech was there for loading the maps onto the 360 but that would be awesome.

Maybe more avatars in MP...

I dunno why they keep mentioning microsoft owning the IP. MS could still contract out to bungie to develop halo related FPS products.

I'm pretty confident this will go beyond PC.

Given Bungie's history of introducing PC features to the console world, Halo 3 is yet to see a release on PC, and the Halo 3 fan base is a console monopoly, I think anything less than a 360 release would not even merit Bungie hinting at.

I'm pretty sure it's a level editor but it seems to be going further when he talks about the "fight's not over". So I'm going ahead to say that there's a console version of modding to allow users to create new campaigns and stories with the characters in the Halo franchise, along with enhanced machinima features akin Red v Blue, and a far more advanced level editor that takes Forge out of pre made maps and into the realm of blank slates ready for player's creativity.

I think Forge 2.0, may well change the way Halo is played and used and will coincide with the playlist, lobby and matchmaking changes coming in September.

So I'll put myself right out there and say Bungie is going to announce a Halo equivalent of LittleBigPlanet, with the emphasis on first person rather than the third person for the 360 crowd.

Considering it's such a Halo themed announcement, it's very unlikely that anyone watching it hasn't found that out by now.
Still, is a fair point.

Honestly... something new would be nice. It can be halo related, but let's get something new in here, like the often mentioned tactical shooter or related things.

Or something brand new. But I don't think Bungie would survive the Halo Fanboy assault on their offices if they didn't make a Halo game.

Actually I kind of hope Bungie has some prequels up their sleeves. I would really LOVE to play 'Fall of Reach'. Not the Spartan training days, but the whole defense and all that. Best book in the series.

I'm thinking a TRUE level editor for Halo 3/Forge. They showed a small part of a level with a wire frame for boundaries. How cool would it be to see people making levels based on old HALO:CE maps that Bungie takes too long to produce. Blood Gulch, here we come. Not to mention recreating levels from other games would also be cool.

The ride isn't over.... He goes to Mark 6 armor... Is in a wireframed world with a sole, rusty metal bunker...

Weird, wild stuff.

I'd rather them not continue to milk my cow with another Halo game of which I don't expect much more change, I'd rather see them use thier resources on a new IP to get excited about. Even something like Halo wars makes a difference. But the concept of a Halo 4 is kinda predictable already, I know they put finish the fight, but even when they put that there I knew they had no intention on finishing any fight. There will be more fighting, and I and many knew that before Halo 3 even released. Even if they switch to marines, I can't see how things will change, except maybe if they went down the Ghost Recon style of gameplay, teamwork, stealth and tactics rather then run and gun like regular Halos. I much prefer teamwork, stealth and tactics, something that will actually get me thinking for once.

I'm a Halo fanboy for a reason. I would love to see more Halo, and those that don't care for it should bugger off to something knew.

It would be stupid to give up on the Halo phenomenon.

My guess is a multiplayer expansion for halo3. A more robust level editor and the ability to use all the single player characters in multi.

I'm not sure waiting for Xbox 3 would matter. Halo 2 and Halo 3 are not that different graphics wise. I wish they would just make Halo 1 online capable, that would make me happy and YES I would pay $40-$60 for it Bungie!

When I watched this, I got the feeling of a merging of Halo and that old Jedi Knights game in multiplayer. But if they do intend to make every other character playable for multiplayer, that would be some serious ownage. Although, each character should have something special and exclusive for themselves, or it would just be boring...
