Brütal Legend isn't going to MTV Games

Here's a question for you. If MTV Games won't publish
Brütal Legend, a video game about an axe wielding roadie who lives the legend of rock and roll and
casts magic spells with a guitar, who will? When asked by
The Cut Scene whether or not they the company would publish Tim Schafer's
recently displaced title, MTV -- that's "Music Television" -- replied "We are big fans of Tim Schafer. We hope the game finds a good home." In other words: no.
While Double Fine assures fans that
Brütal Legend is "
fine" despite getting the boot from Activision, we have to wonder just who will publish the thing. We hope a publisher is revealed soon, lest
Brütal Legend's title becomes an ironically accurate description of the game's development.
