Since bringing baseball home to the everyman in last year's The Bigs, Vancouver's Blue Castle Games has been eerily quiet regarding its future plans, be they grounded in sports or, as music site Loudside writes it, waking the dead. According to the website, the developer plans to release a title called Zombie Ritual sometime later this year, and that the as-yet-unannounced game will include music from the appropriately named hometown rockers, Cradle To Grave.
According to the report, the studio plans to ship Zombie Ritual in "late 2008," and expects to have a half million copies of the title on store shelves in the first week. A quick glance at Blue Castle's website reveals that the company is in fact working on two new unnamed sports titles and one action game, though unless the devs plan on having us field grounders or going long with teams of recently exhumed corpses, we're betting Zombie Ritual will be of the latter.

Haha awesome! Zombies are the best creatures ever made. I try to play all games and watch all movies that have zombies as a main focus. Can't wait for Dead Space and Left4Dead! I'll try this game out too

I for one can never get too much zombie action in either celluloid or interactive form. on hearing that Left 4 Dead will be available to play at Leipzig this year (in just a couple of weeks) I have booked my flight and hotel in anticipation, fine German beer and slaughtering zombies, what more could a mere mortal ask for?
now if I can just find a way to get my shottie through airport security...

I'm pretty sure that there was a rumor that these same developers would be making the Dead Rising sequel. Maybe Capcom decided not to continue working with them so they went ahead and made a few changes and turned it into an original IP.

Um... "Zombie Ritual" is the name of a song by the band "Death" (Great f'n band btw). Did/is "Cradle to Grave" covering the song? Anyone know?
