Disney Interactive Studio VP Graham Hopper thinks Disney needs more role-playing games. Speaking with GameDaily, Hopper says the company has an RPG in the pipeline, but can't yet make an announcement. Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts series is probably the only RPG we can think of that uses Disney characters, but that was more of a dalliance on the house of Mickey's part.
Hopper goes on to say that RPGs fit with Disney because the company believes storytelling and character design are important. He notes the company isn't looking to make "the hardest core RPG," but a blend, which he believes the studio is fully capable of. May Diablo help us if Disney's answer to role-playing is something like High School Musical RPG.

I remember a pretty cool Mickey Mouse game for the SNES. It was a platformer. Forgot the name though :(
I wouldn't mind a new Kingdom Hearts to get my girl involved. She played about one hours of Blue Dragon then gave up. Damn, I miss those games.

and the next KH will def. NOT be on the Wii. I just hope it's not on 360, or it could end up coming in 2011....

Nobody knows anything about where Kingdom Hearts will go next
The fanbase for Kingdom Hearts is still found dominantly on PlayStation, Square Enix has a stronger relationship with Microsoft now, and Kingdom Hearts' appeal makes the most sense on Wii
Where it will go is anyone's guess

you guys love to complain about how good games don't sell on the Wii, but a game like KH has about a snowballs chance in hell of selling

I could see it on the Wii, considering the game is full of anime characters and disney characters, it would sell. Plus everyone who knows about the series will buy it too because they know that it's actually a good RPG series. It's a win-win.

W/E u guys say. The fact of the matter is is belongs on the PS3, and nowhere else. Its fanbase is there, and frankly the Wii versdion would disgrace the series, just as the DS version and gameboy version did (and will).

The GBA game wasn't terrible.
It had some good graphics at least.

Disney just needs to rehire Capcom to make their games for now on. THQ sucks. Aladdin and The Lion King on the SNES were awesoe games.

The Jonas Bros though would either have to be playable characters or summons.

Sharpay and Ryan are set up to the main villains, but after defeating them for a second time you convert Ryan to your side. If you've trained Zeke high enough so that he's learned Bake Cookies: Omega, Sharpay will join your forces as well.

Also, you do your attacks using a microphone peripheral, and the damage you do depends on how many notes you get, Rock Band style.

Look at the ideas flowing for the HSM RPG. This will SURPASS Diablo.

Something like a Black Cauldron RPG or maybe a collaboration with Don Bluth would be pretty cool. And yeah, it doesn't have to be super hardcore.
