This seems like an easy way to pave an easier way through the achievements. That's the only thing that irks me, when achievements are cheapened.

Fable was still a great game. A lot of the hype came from the fans themselves just expecting too much. Frankly, if this is just a slightly updated version of the original, I'm still going to buy it, day one.
But if you've been following the game even slightly, then you'd know Molyneux has been avoiding over hyping the game this time.
There's been very few previews, etc, on the game and all of the big features that have been announced have been demonstrated in live demos. They aren't just concept ideas that he hopes to include sometime in the future.

It's not like you HAVE to use the money you make in the game.
Most people will play through Fable 2-3 times anyway for the different experience. Why not start out rich once?

Yeah Umm...you are missing the point punisher, first off. the games really aren't that bad. and gold isn't the only thingyou get from these games, you get concept art and items that you can't normally get in the actual game. (examples: High roller's coat, mysterious ring, championship pistol, championship sword-thingy, tattoos and a hair style, Some other things as well.)

I decided not to use the glitch...i am thinking lionhead studios knows about the glitch and those who do it will have bad karma in the game (parents could abuse you as a child, a bully will start bugging you, or the patron you are using in the pub games will give you a hard time giving you your gold).
Just play without the glitch. You will still earn alot of cash. Use the regular games to gain stars and concept art, then use the tournaments for gold and items.
Fable 2 FTW...i just hope the big environments don't look blurry and faded like GTA 4.

go to a shop, buy up all of the shop's inventory (lets say, of fish). Now sell that inventory right back to the shop for a profit WITHOUT LEAVING THE MENU.
As long as you have enough gold for the initial investment, you can make infinite money this way. Because if the shop has 20 fish, it will charge you less than if the shop has zero fish. As you make more money, you can buy out more items, and make substantially more profit each time...
I'm not talking about the over all quality of the game, just that Pete M has never, really, had a head for getting all the 'details tight before his game goes to shelf.

I suspect that Microsoft will delete the achievements earned and profiles when they patch this exploit out, and every one will lose their money and 'unique' items, whether they won honestly or not.

your not paying the extr MONEY for the pub games the SE game gives u a master cheif armor set and a figurine in the game the pub games are just a thank u rly for purchaseing the SE (special edition)... and it doesnt cost any extra to preorder the game if u go to any gamestop. to clear any confusion anybody has about it. and yes u do get a armor set that looks like master cheif before u call me a lier...so preorder the SE game anyways and dont play the pub games if u dont like the idea of gettin gold beforehand, or maybe u could try 2 playthroughs one with all ur gold and one with out..

Well in Game Informer for this month it states that the gold you win in pub games is not in game gold it just determens your Gambiling skill level and allows you to go to tables with higher limits in game!!! read up on it they saw this bug and just made it a mute point!!!!

I dont see any problem with the glitch. I've already accumulated a ton of gold, but I don't actually plan to use it as soon as I start the game because I do agree that might ruin the initial experience, but once I beat the main storyline once or get pretty far in the game I'll most definately transfer the gold to my character so that I can have some fun.
Nothing against people who initially use their massive ill gotten gains though. Thats all part of the fun.

I don't think that's true Brandon i watched a video on youtube with the Molynator stating that all gold was transferrable while he gave a demonstration on the pub games dude

yer i agree with everthing but i have a prblem i got a microsoft points gift card i added them to my account and went to download fable 2 pubgames and it stops downloading at around 65% if any one as any idea what the hell is goin on id bee happy and appreciative of the help thanks in advance

Exponent I would try unplugging the ethernet cable then unplugging the router from the wall. I would then plug them both back in and sign in to xbox live, the download should then complete itself

I think I have to agree with some of you in the sense that PM did say he wanted Fable 2 to give the player the freedom to do what they want, even getting their level 100+ friend to join their level 2 character in-game for adventuring.
Start the game with millions or start the game with zero...it's all about how you want to play, and no one should be criticized for it because everyone plays games differently.
As for me I'm going to make a comfortable 800-1000 G from the pub games, just enough to dress my character with something that has a little more flare than a garbage bag ;)

im pretty sure the patch is out because the hack doesnt work on mine and cleaning the storage device with that cheat dosent work either so we all gotta play it fair now wich is gay and UNFAIR as they all got mad gold we gotta do it hard

they did mention in a interview that the cheat was planned and those who activate it will get a nasty surprise when they get the actual game.

They are just covering it up because in the end, they know they'll look stupid.

Any gold won using exploit wasn't added to your friends score so Fable II probably won't even count the exploited gold.

i think the cheat is optional for anyone. i personally won't be doing it considering i have friends i will be playing with, and earning things gives me a certain satisfaction when im swinging it infront of my friends (thats refering to a weapon fyi)

the other 10% is - i have bout 7.5k and thats for clothes.. maybe a mask or somethin cuz i saw a vid with one.. and.. well.. to see if i have enough Gold to buy a house.. i prob won't but its a start.. house = renting abilities = easy money in game.. that way i can continue questing and pillaging and.. helping every now and then.. then more pillaging.. then return back to get bags of money :D.. just my idea of a hard days of work

modded fable 2 pub games so i have 999,999,999,999 gold, all unlockable prizes, all concept art, 5 star rating, 999,999 points and changed my characters name. i modded my gold to be more than billions but any higher than it is at the moment screws it up. said something like 1+e8-018 yada yada

It kinda sucks though, because they made that if you do use this glitch, you're teeth would be black; resulting in everyone being scared of you. So much for being good.

can i ask where you get your information? the only way they could track if you did the glitch would be to either make it so anyone with above a certain level of gold gets the penalty or anyone who earns enough in one session of fortunes tower would get it. there is no perfect way for them to test if you cheated without penalising a legit player that is just rly rly good at the game
