See, it's launching ... because it's a rocket. Get it? Anywho, IGN reports that THQ's Rocket Riot will hit Xbox Live Arcade sometime this fall. Developed by CodeGlue, Rocket Riot is a retro side-scrolling shooter with a very unique aesthetic. Oh, and it has rockets, and lots of other things that explode, all of which will aid you in destroying the fully destructible environments. To top that all of, up to 8 people can play over Xbox Live and up to 4 can play on a single system. So, basically, it's got everything we want in an XBLA game. Let's just hope the actual gameplay is as good as it sounds.

They do seem similar on a basic level... But it's not turn based, that alone is a significant difference (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgFA4cI2Ffw).
Worms didn't invent the idea of running around a closed off area blowing stuff up, for better or worse. People didn't dismiss Worms since Scorched Earth did a similar thing first.
I like what I've seen of this one. I'm looking forward to it.
I didn't know IGN had a specific XBL area now. I don't know how I feel about it, though, considering how hard they typically are on XBLA games.
