Nothing sounds quite as satisfying as disintegrating ninjas and zombies with a stylized 8-bit bazooka. That's probably why THQ's upcoming XBLA Worms clone, Rocket Riot, remains on our radar. First announced last October, the game, developed by Dutch dev CodeGlue, evokes a retro feel that speaks directly to our aging hearts with its 80 "completely destructible" pixel-laden levels. Unlike some recent digital offerings, Rocket Riot also promises to support up to eight players over Xbox Live, or four for those wishing to hash out their differences on the same couch. Rocket Riot is expected to send us diving for cover when it drops like a bomb onto XBLA this fall.

Any chance of getting Gunbound on XBLA? That's the only game like this I ever really got into.

this is far from a "Worms Clone" it's not turn based.
your are a small rocket that shots pew pew pew at other rockets. you float around the screen like your in space, so momentum is something you have to deal with. you fire by flicking the right analog stick in the direction you want to shoot.
if anything, it a twitch shooter. and the graphics and particle effects of the level blowing up are top notch. this will be a great game to play online!
here is a review talking about the game play more...

Its not even close to a worms clone. I've had the privelledge of playing this is and its more like a really high paced action packed soldat. Its pure carnage and an amazing amount of fun! its a definite must have for xbla. and altho its a small game, there are lots of game modes besides deathmatch. Really worthwhile game :)
