Tossing aside the standard temporal ocarina for something a little more complex, a "Flute Link" cosplayer performed on stage at this year's Masquerade show at the Otakon 2008 in Baltimore, bringing Navi in tow. It's a great performance, although it's hard to tell when she's playing live and when it's pre-recorded (for demonstrationg of her live performance, we also embedded a video of Flute Link performing Tetris with an Otaku band.
And for anyone who ever wished Navi would get her what for, keep watching until about the 4:25 mark. Video embedded after the break.
Oh em gee! I wake up this morning to be greeted by an Ocarina reference. :D She sure has some skrillz, I just wish she wasn't so drowned out in the second video by the less skillful other musicians.
Cute costume, cool act. But I wonder how she'd do in a fight against those two girls that dress as Link that get their pictures spread about the webbernets?
I'd love for Zelda to be something other than a helpless princess for once. It'd be awesome if there was a Zelda in which the enemy actually gets smart and kidnaps LINK instead and Zelda has to don his attire and save him. And no wimpy magical spells, either. Just pure hack and slash by female. :)
I was actually at Otakon and saw this live. When she was done, everyone went *wild*. This was in a huge stadium, with well over a thousand people watching. Almost everyone in there was standing up, screaming and cheering at the end.
For the record, the only parts that were pre-recorded were the parts where "Navi" was playing the flute.
The nostagia....its too much...must boot up Limited Edition Ocarina Of Time Disk i got with Wind Waker....must finish OOT for 16th time (no exaggeration).
Well, i could finish it 16 times a month, but i have far too many PC and Wii games that i havent finished. Not to mention i am replaying Prime 3, Tales of Symphonia, Pikmin 2 and i just bought a DS.
