I'm sure you're only using this to get items, right?
Right?

Can you get items this way?

I know you can level up quicker, gain concept art, and amass a lot of gold. For items, you have to play the Tournaments, and the amount of gold you have there is pretty much set although there is a buy-in. Some Tournaments, such as Spinnerbox, are completely random and it's only through a lot of repeative play will you gain the items.

With the game over 2 months away yet I'd have to imagine Lionhead will patch this and remove any gold that might have been gathered through this process... or something of that nature.

I'm sure they could make it so Fable 2 only imports from patched Pub Games too.

I guess we'll see, but either way they definitely have to know about it lol

There really is no way for Lionhead to remove said gold gained from the glitch as the game doesn't track any stats or gold gained in anything other than Tournament mode. Those who used the glitch in tournament mode though may have that gold removed. In any case just like any points/money glitch you just have to opt out of the patch until you get the gold you want. Kinda like with my points glitch in Vegas 2.

The youtube guy didn't discover it, some guy on Gamefaqs found it.

Even if Lionhead does patch it, all you have to do is clear your cache to delete the patch or simply not download it and play offline until the game launches.
They can't root out the cheaters from the non-cheaters and honestly, they should leave the game unpatched.

If you start out with more than a million gold you have enough to purchase the fucking bowerstone castle - having a TON of gold will just harm the gameplay experience and make it uneven. So let them ruin their own games.

I agree with XAL, if people want to cheat let them, their ruining their own experience. Its not like they can effect our game in any way being that this is mainly a single player game, and coop is something that's only played with close friends.

if you gamble a lot IN fable 2 your character adopts traits of greed like getting twisted and yellow teeth and bug eyes.

it remains to be seen if when you merge your gambler(s) to your hero if they'll adopt those traits or not. hopefully not, because then that's punishment for playing/buying their arcade game >_>

Definitely a game ruining experience. I did the Dorian money glitch with Oblivion and that was the beginning of the end for fun. That and glitching to get 100% invisibility at all times (enchantment glitch).

Not going to ruin another game with glitches.

The Dorian Glitch was fun for a while, but then when I had over 500K gold I realised it wasn't even fun anymore because I didn't have so sell stuff. In the end I just bought a load of axes and swords and left them in the countryside somewhere.

Man, I have never seen X3F get it so wrong before. First this is very old news and second it wasn't discovered by some youtuber. Also, I don't understand how this would "bleed your character dry" as Fortune's Tower is actually is a game of strategy in conjunction to chance.

It's fool proof. You don't need to go past the first two cards. As soon as you can start raising the maximum bid, EVERY round except for a pair of 1s is a profit round.. and with a pair, you might as well drop 3 cards just to get a bonus.

You PAY 15 chips and get back 10x - 40x the value of the cards on the table once you can start raising the bid.

Actually, if you play that strategy in tournament there's a small chance that your opponents will get a jackpot and beat you. It happened to me on a round where there was a multiplier in the beginning and my opponent bet big and won a multiplied jackpot. I ended up losing the tournament. So you actually still have to play smart.

It works... and you can get some Gold for it... but Why?

I mean outside of winning the tournaments Easy, I just don't see the reason for doing this.

I'm something like 50k up right now, and that's All from Spinner Box. (250 max bet cow and corset to be real specific) Buy back in whenever you lose all your stake. That easy, no cheating needed.

Actually in this case, cheaters do prosper. They can't take all the $$ away that you've earned doing this trick however because it's way to difficult to do. It's simply a glitch. It's like doing "paper, rock, scissors" but getting to choose after seeing the opponents hand. Unfortunately this time, the computer doesn't know you're doing it because it doesn't know there's that quick second after the cards are layed to "jump bid". They're gonna create a patch to litterally "patch" up that second or two. As for taking all your earnings away, you gotta remember, you earn $$, items, and unlocking games, during the tounaments. The "dirty" money only allows you to EARN the PRIZE money during the tournament. Two different $$. And they can't take any prizes away because it's too complicated to figure out which was won by "dirty" money or not? Items, $$, card games, what skills and points. There is too many things that tie in. Unless the patch DELETES everyones scores and everyone starts at ground 0. LoL

In the end i have to admit it is a interesting cheat, to know about and use, I am guessing that it will be patched soon as well but IF not here is the deal P.M. did SAY HE DID NOT CARE if you owned all of Albion or not BUT it would effect the ending of the story, XAL and BL4K are right it ruins the game for the people that use it and use it for greed, but we all have to remember here that FABLE has always been a game of choice, meaning that in the end good or evil, male or female it dose not matter as to it being there or not as a cheat to exploit cash and yes it might end up being something that makes your player evil faster but who cares but those of us that might want a good hero, for those of you that do not want to lose this cheat if the game is updated and it is removed, its simple do not get online to update your game, for those that do not care do as you wish. no do not think for a moment that anything done in these games might effect the side of your hero that you choose, i am only going out on a limb in say that it MIGHT. ALSO i would like to state here that it might not be a glitch at all but again just me guessing at it. and some of the items given as well because of this "glitch" now being very easy to get, might not be all that great in the end. all this is mostly speculation here about things, but never know.

What's the difference between one person making millions of gold the "real" way, and another person making the same amount by cheating? Either way you choose to play it, you both have the same amount of money to start the game with.

Are people just upset they've worked hard (as hard as you can hitting a few buttons) to make their money, while someone else is coasting along and making just as much as them in mere seconds? We all play our own ways.

And don't forget, it's only the Tower game that's glitched. If you want to win any of the other tournaments for the prizes you need to win those fair and square.

If nothing else, the cheat will let people pay their debt back, and have some extra left over.

I don't think it's a glitch. I think it's a feature. Otherwise, playing these damn pub games is extremely tedious. The only way to make any real money and get points is to cheat in the card tourney. But you still have to spend hours getting the points necessary to get to the games where you can actually make some real money.

I'm not sure if they're going to count all this cheating against your character though. It's not like there's a counter in the pub games that lets you know how much you cheated. I think that if they were going to count it against your character, they'd at least keep track of it so that you know you're messing things up for yourself.

I'm thinking if you bought the pub games or got them free from the pre-order, Lionhead's basically rewarding you with some free items and by starting you off with some cash. People can abuse it and go into the game with tons of money and ruin their own experience (or not), but I don't think most people are going to spend that much time on these pub games.

There's so many other games out there right now that're more interesting than these pub games. There has to be some incentive for you to play. I think the cheat is a feature. And if it has implications on your character, it will most likely be toned down. Like you won't start with a bug-eyed character, but you may have some small amount of whatever dishonesty trait.

Plus, this has been known for a few days now. It's a quick fix and Lionhead would have been on top of it if it was that big of a deal. It must be a feature.

frankly, before I learned about this glitch, I made it to a 5 star gambler rating and won all the items. All legit. It can be done, it is very tedious. And actually, it would be really simple to root out some of the cheaters. because frankly, doing it the legit way, there is no way (or perhaps very little change) anyone could make 250k+ in 2 or 3 weeks.

Furthermore, I doubt they would take the effort to reset players because that would only annoy players, what business sense is it to PO your customers. Also, Fable is a game of choice as stated before. Players can choose to be evil or choose to be legit. Hell, I cheated with one char and so if i want to play the real way, i can do that too later. But it will be fun for a little bit to basically be in god mode to do anything i want.

people who want to glitch and get money go ahead but think about it first i mean if you have tons of money and can get anything you want then the game will get real old real fast BUT...

If you work hard toward a house of a really good weapon and it takes you a while to get it then want it feel alot better once you have it knowing you had to work a little for it rather than just glitching?

anyway if you listened to me and want to get rid of some of your glitched money and keep your items just get another character into debt till you can merge the characters and have however much money you want to start off with which for me will be 25k

I just play a particular spinerbox game (cat remember bit its with the ships), and just press 'a' over and over until i earn enough. i generally get into a lot of debt to start off but then i end up with heaps by the time i leave. I have even played the game with the tv on a different channel, switching back to fable in the ad breaks to see how much ive won. i think the longer you play the more you win. theres my tip - a whole lot of gold and no cheating whatsoever.
