If the recent cavalcade of video previews for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was enough to whet your appetite for some midichlorian-infused carnage, then we've got great news: LucasArts recently confirmed that they will be following through with their promise to bring a demo for the title to the XBLM and PSN this month -- a playable preview will be downloadable via the two services starting Thursday, August 21.
The demo takes place during one of the first levels in the game, known as the "TIE Fighter Construction Facility" -- we assume it's the same area featured in the recent batch of previews for the title. It will also contain a training mode which will allow the player to get a firm grasp on the Force Grip power. However, we know the question that's on everyone's mind -- will any of those adorable Ewoks be present? We can only hope.

I'll be sure to download it first thing in the morning providing this stupid hurricane that's coming doesn't knock my power out the day before. I don't think this game will keep my attention for very long, as it doesn't appear to be a very deep or lengthy game but I'll give it a shot.

Obie: In Star Wars: The Complete Saga you get an achievement for killing Jar Jar like, 20 or 30 times.
That was one of the only ones I got (see: wanted to do) before I sent the rental back

Lol, I live in Florida too...stupid hurricane Fay!! Atleast it might rule out a few extra days of school!!
Hopefully, one day, LucasArts will finally grow a pair, and realize that Star Wars is just for adults is it as for children.
Dont worry everyone. It wont be long before the council makes you a Jedi Master....GAME.

I surprisingly have more than 25 gigs left on my hard drive, I predicted I'd be full by this point in time. Apparently I don't download every demo that comes out (o r even buy downloadable games anymore, for that matter)

I do this thing called "managing my hard drive space" - It's a practice I've been doing for years. Just delete shit when you no longer use it... Like demos for games you already own.

Again, it was never allowed on the console versions, and guess what... this on consoles.

Yes ice, ON THE PC VERSION WHICH ALLOWED THE CONSOLE COMMAND. It is possible that a cheat exists for Unleashed but very, very unlikely.

I had. But it didn't stop me from playing it over and over again. Mace Windu owns in that game.

For a while, I was completely not interested in Unleashed because it wasn't another Jedi Knight game. Then I watched some of the early videos showing off the new engine mechanics, and I was intrigued. Time was closing in on the release date, and I was getting kinda pumped. Then I saw the new trailers today.
I'll pass on this one. It just doesn't look like fun.

Thank you Bevis and Butthead, that was the point.
The early videos had a lot of potential, but that doesn't mean I was ready to buy the game. I figured with all the time inbetween they could create a really magnificent game. The new trailers are practically the same as the originals. There's nothing new, and game doesn't look any better than before.
Now kill yourself if that doesn't make sense to you.

Is it just me, or is that one of the most retarded positions in which to hold a light saber. Looks like it would be awkward to get it from there to attacking without slicing yourself. But, if anyone can prove otherwise, please do.

He uses the lightsaber form "Shien". It's based off of actual martial arts techniques in real life, and it's also part of Star Wars canon. So it's not like the developers just decided to make a new way to use the lightsaber.

Holding a blade that way is actually quite effective for stabbing.

Cool, thanks for the replies. But it still looks to be unsafe to get from that position to attacking with the blade out =P...

that's actually based on an actual blade technique that has it's own advantages/disadvantages.

Hey, if they have the Balls to release a demo of this game, maybe it is good. They don't have to release a demo, they have the StarWars brand so you know it is guaranteed to sell a couple million regardless.
Just my 2 cents. Looking forward to downloading this on Thursday.

This thursday will be the day we can judge for ourselves.
I am really looking forward to this game but there is something that I am worried about.
Because this game is such a big multiplatform game that is coming out for every device that can play games (including the iPhone!) I'm afraid that it may not be polished all around.
Like there have been many games that had good promises, the game didn't really deliver what was promised BECAUSE it was rushed out for many platforms.
I'm not doubting the developers, I'm doubting the fact that the game is going to be rushed to meet the deadline.
It looks good, and I'm hoping for the best but what I'm afraid of when reading and watching reviews is that it gets a decent score only because of technical bugs, errors, and flaws.

Who am I kidding, I'm not buying this anyway.
