Is that a Gatchaman character I see? How freaking cool is that?!?!

A Wii based / compatible arcade board? That's a new one and is interesting because the Wii hardware is more than up to the task of doing some really nice arcade stuff . I wonder if the board is modded in any way that the Homebrew sceen might be able to use? Reverse engineering is always nice to see.

Sheesh, a little research, please. A quick search for Tatsunoko brings some awsome names in, like G-Force (in the picture above), Meteoro, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Robotech (aka Macross).

If I was a fan of fighting games I'd be pretty exited with posibility of a fight between an Eva and a Varitech.

It says nothing about a release outside of Japan which is the real problem. The rights to the Tatsunoko products is widely spread in regions outside of Japan which is what makes this so complex. I'd get this game in a heartbeat of it came out in North America but I'd prefer to see it on the PS3 because I prefer the PS3's controller for fighting games. I guess I could get by with my Wii classic controller but either way, this is a must buy!
FYI: this game uses the new vs engine that would be used for the rumored Marvel VS Capcom 3.

This game isn't likely to even to leave Japan, as it's characters are mixed up in all sorts of foreign licensing messes. Rumor has it though that Capcom is working with Marvel to have this one brought to the states with Marvel Comics characters swapped out for the Tatsunoko ones.

If that happens and this comes to the States as Marvel Vs Capcom 3, I will officially deem the Wii the greatest console on the planet.

"past titles such as Marvel vs Capcom 2 and the near-perfect Capcom vs SNK 2"

Marvel vs Capcom2 was waaaay better that SNK2

I disagree but I would say that MvC2 was more popular.

Ok which one of you optimistic fanboys edited the Wiki article?

It isn't CONFIRMED for the Wii yet. So it can't be listed as a Wii game.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 was nothing compared to the first one, I was disappointed when I bought the second one, just like Capcom vs SNK. Plus the Arcade versions are better (thanks to MAME and X-Arcade).

I hope they put the samurai pizza cats on there, man that was a
great show.

Capcom has already basically said that there isn't a chance in Hell this game is coming to the US due to licensing tangles.
That said, if it DOES come to the Wii, it's a Day 1 import for me! I think this looks far superior to SFIV, anyway.

you sir, should be dragged out into the street and shot. CVS2 was godlike.

btw we should blatantly get both sf IV and this, because tbh there is nothing on that game that cant be done on the wii.

DC MvC2 is perfect, aside from super minor speed diff and they took a couple glitches out that 100% does not affect the game ever. Dumb scrubs.

MvC1 is as "broken" as MvC2 btw.

If go searching capcom unity it seems hey have gotten the permission from all the rights holders of involve parties except gatcha man.Go look it up you'll find it. So all they need is permission for gatchaman. They had the game schedule for thier Evo kiosk and gatchaman was only one missing for the reasons stated above.

Not really; Capcom has stated that it would be present to see how much interest it generated. The licensing nightmare is only worth dealing with if they are going to sell large amounts of this title.

Yeah, they are taking it seriously. Lets hope it all works out because it looks awesome! If not, I hope a PS3 version is released because they typically don't region code PS3 games so it can be imported! I seriously doubt a game like this would be an exclusive title for any console.

Man, Cashiern, thr robot hunter, one of the inspiration on Megaman (clearly, the strongest one was astroboy, which, they should add to this game), that was one of my fav animes, more than speed racer, and the live action movie was awesome!!!!

I do hope this game comes to Wii

I was really excited about that, but according to Wikipedia, ther will me nothing form Evangelion, neither shinji, nor the EVAs, and that makes me sad... (T_T)
It seems that the half of the Capcom characters are form SF, which is no surprise from Cap, but I'd really like to see more chars from their other franchises like Resident Evil, Dino Crisis or Devil May Cry and if they ever could put Killer7 or even Phoenix Wright(like this :D http://dragonsgirl.freeblog.hu/files/Jatek/Phoenix_Wright_0_b.jpg) it would be heaven...

(Hay, jan_halmes, nice idea... ^^)

If you want something with the EVAs in it, look up Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 for the PS2.
It also includes Gundam series, Macross, The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, and more.

Yeah, thanks... I like the Idea, but unfortunately I don't have got a PS2 and probably won't have ever. Seems like I have to wait till my PC gets upgraded to use some new emulators to run it... Anyways, thanks for the tip!
