If the price will be exactly the same, I'll surely buy the Blu-ray version :p

Yeah, its a bit of a blu-ray game dry spell atm, and looking at the fall release schedule I can't help but wonder if game publishers are overloading the fall/christmas a bit, seems to me that during October/November/December the total amount of games available are set to almost double. (ok, so many of those games are crap movie adaptions, but still).

Sweet, can't wait for the BD release. Excelent value, despite its length.

Can anyone at SCEE explain why we are expected to nearly $5 more than PS3 owners in the states? I know it's not alot more, but it is more and there is no reason for the difference.

I will now pick this one up second hand on Blu Ray.

Maybe it has something to do with taxes for a non-EU company selling goods in the EU. This is just a guess.

taxes smaxes. we all pay taxes, but surely not on digitally distributed media!

I don't recall the US paying 30% more for games like F1 CE and motorstorm and there were made here in the UK, just a few miles away from where i live.

We'll see what happens with the price of Wipeout HD, if the US has to pay 30% more i'll be

Wait, so is there going to be a US BD version? I have a slow 128k 'Net connection and I could beat the BD version 4 times before the DL would finish.

You could always import? I know the postage can be high but it could be a good idea to check eBay as there might be people who can easily get it from Europe and hence sell it for near enough £10 overall.
Then again, if you really want it and don't want to pay much more than it is on PSN, surely it would take less than 3 weeks to download it...

I'm still undecided on whether to download or buy the BD version as well. I'd much prefer to have a physical copy of the game 'cause I don't wanna have to end up download 2.3GB again if I decide to upgrade my HDD or something.

My big question is if the blu-ray version will require the entire game to be installed. If not I would honestly rather go that route since my HDD is so full. Also according to play-asia it is releasing in Asia as a disc version as well. For people in the US that might be the better choice if it contains the English version.

£9.99 is too expensive. In fact, I wouldn't pay anything for an extra five hours of game play. I'd expect it to be free - or a token payment of 99p.

That's neither sarcasm nor idiocy. It's pure cynicism. One day, when you’re wiser, you’ll be able to distinguish between the two.

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction is £14.99 as play.com, makes me feel that Quest for Booty is not worth it...

A disc release is good news, because it should mean that rather like with Gran Turismo, we'll be able to get it cheaper than the download release.

And I was going to say "not take up too much HDD space" but I'm guessing it'll just install on there...

I live in Sweden but I will still get the game from the US Store due to the weak US $. $15 = 90 swedish kronor, and £10 = 160 skr, so thats a no brainer!
