The closed beta for Resistance 2 is currently going on, and while you're here reading, someone else out there is saving America from a Chimera invasion. Luckily, you don't have to miss out on all the fun. While you wait for the public beta coming this September, you can check out eight minutes of gameplay footage right now; albeit, extremely blurry and unflattering footage.
The level in the vid looks like the same outdoor woodland area you've seen in screenshots before. It may be difficult to see the little details due to the low quality, but one thing is for certain: Resistance 2's mulitplayer mode, overall, looks like pure carnage.
yeah I'm the same way. Just looks boring as hell. I never could get into the first one that much. COD4 was the first FPS game that I really got into and loved the moment i saw the first trailer. This does nothing for me.
I agree it does look pretty boring. I was a fan of the first game but this just doesnt look very good. Hopefully it gets better by the time it launches.
I hate it.. but I'm agreeing on the matter as well.. it seems it's too generic compared to a lot of the other shooters coming out. What with no recoil(wtf?), no destructable environments, and basic combat, I'm hoping this will do ok.
This looks very good.. I'm wondering are those robots powered by other players or are there just AI all over the map while your in a live match ? If so that's a great idea. . . always keeps you on your toes. I think the point system is so awesome
Really? Oh didn't realize the beta was for the Co-Op campaign also. The only complain I have is that arm . .it's not looking to good. . throw a glove or something on there.
I am interested to try this game out, at the very least. On a side note, I set my comment bubble as "GIRL WITH A STICK" and every single friend has messaged me asking if I have the beta. *sigh* if only I did....
No.. it really looks boring rofl. Guns with no recoil, A.I. with very basic functions, a rail gun with almost limitless ammo, and a bunch of other stuff.. I'm really hoping this game pulls together.
it looks pretty good, and the hands do look a little weird without the gloves or sleves at least, and no fair by the time this open beta gets out this guys r gonna b good at it and be owning on us new people =(
it actually looks pretty awesome, dont know what you guys are saying. i saw some exp things in there, was there exp in r1? im not very far into it, thats why i ask. if its new, thats awesome!
I have the beta, and I'm done with it. They ruined a good game. I can understand its early version but its so different its not even close to how good R1 was. I feel like I'm playing Area 51 or Jericho its that bad.
I can't believe myself when I say that that was really 'meh'. It's really slow, really full of dumb AI, and personal shields (WTF to that last bit too).
I understand it's a beta and the guy is playing as a 'heavy' or whatever, but really. This is not 'intense'. Pure carnage, sure: there's thirty something enemies that spawn at the same time. Fun? No.
