X08 attacks Toronto, X3F strikes back!
29
On Thursday, August 21, Microsoft will once again host an X0 event in Toronto. A preview event, and not the big Microsoft X0 branded conference held each year, X08 Toronto will showcase upcoming titles from Microsoft, Activision, Electronic Arts and many more. Unfortunately the event is by invitation only but Xbox Canada's community figure Jade has posted details for Canadian gamers looking to score a way in. The event runs from 5PM - 8PM EST in Downtown Toronto, Canada. We'll be there and hope to see you kicking around!

Oh my head is clear as the sky is blue but I'd suggest you read up on the facts Mr. Universe.
Fact: Calgary now has a larger economy and more head offices of 5K+ companies than any other city in Canada
Fact: Toronto's economy (and Ontario's as a whole) has been in decline for 5 years now.
Fact: Toronotians believe their city is in fact the center of the known and unknown universe.
Fact: Toronotians are morons who probably can't count past 10 (the number of fingers on their hands).
Peace and Love!

ten dolla bill, then where in canada do you think is the hub of canada's economy? the gta has more people in it then the rest of canada, alone. I pass the sign everyday on my way to my office that says Mississauga is home to over 100 of the fortune 500 companies. Toronto is the center of canada. Get over it.

Actually my friend, the west, specifically Calgary has more head offices and a much larger economic footprint than Toronto. I understand you people think you live in the center of the universe but your economy is stagnant, your city is dirty and you're all really arrogant (as your message clearly indicates).
All I can say is enjoy the spotlight while it lasts because pretty soon you'll be known as Canada's ass crack, haha.

Have you ever actually BEEN to Toronto? I love western Canada as much as the next guy, but to claim that Calgary or any other city other then perhaps Montreal has a bigger economic impact than Toronto is completely ignorant.
If you took Toronto out of the picture, the entire Canadian economy would collapse, if you don't believe me, then you clearly do not understand anything about economics.

this is why i hate calgary, guys like "ten dolla bill" dont acknowledge the fact that TORONTO is what runs canada and is the economic power of canada. I just moved to calgary last year from toronto, and all i hear is ignorant calgarians talking shit about cities that are actually better than their bulls*** city. Tell me ten dolla bill, every food and materials you purchase in calgary, where are they all made from hmmm??? Hint hint it starts with a T. Calgarians like you should stfu and go around ride your horses and "STAMPEDE" all day. Gosh i hope i move back to T.O soon.

Maybe even the bungie announcement...which i doubt but wouldn't be surprised as we are so close to Canada but to announce it in Canada and not US first seems weird, i mean no offense, but what is the market difference.
Also maybe they are saving it for PAX, who knows....

I think Bungie said that they won't make their announcement at PAX, but X08 would be perfect! I know it's unlikely, because Nintendo of Sony don't have any huge announcements yet, but you never know.

If you don't like Toronto, don't live here. We have enough people already.
Toronto might not be 'clean', but at least there's something to do after 5pm.
What is the point of having these events closed off from the public, Microsoft? A large room full of industry and marketing goons, watching a projected powerpoint presentation, is not going to sell games or consoles. Let the people who spend their hard-earned money on the XBox platform attend the event.
