Cigar-chomping testosterone factory foiling alien invasion news now, with word that the Duke Nukem game you've all been waiting for -- again -- may be arriving imminently. Speaking to Shacknews, 3D Realms' George Broussard has confirmed that the Xbox Live Arcade version of Duke Nukem 3D has defeated the development galaxy's most dreaded scourge, the Microsoft certification process.
"We officially passed final cert on our first try Friday, August 15th," said Broussard, also revealing that the game is due for release "soon." Though we've yet to see convincing evidence that 3D Realms employees are familiar with that last word's meaning, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to a game they've at least managed to complete once before.
No price has been announced yet, but Broussard noted that it would be "about what you'd expect." Meanwhile, be sure to check out the list of Duke Nukem 3D's Xbox 360 Achievements, which reward players for tipping strippers and stepping in poo.

Well, I expect $10. If it follows suit with the more recent games, I'll be disappointed. Not because $15 isn't fair, but rather that I don't have $15 of MS points left after blowing points on Braid and Geometry Wars 2.

Just because two recent games are $15, doesn't mean that all future games will be $15.
Puzzle Quest launched at that price, and that wasn't the end of XBLA pricing, was it?

A game with a 10 year development cycle? The single most hyped game of all time?
I think $100,000 is a small price to pay.

Co-Op in this game is a blast, as is deathmatch. Played for hours at a time over a serial cable way back when it came out.

Thank god for achievments that I might be able to accomplish on my own instead of hunting for them until the early hours of the morning. I step in poop all the time. And I am very curteous to strippers. Maybe they have a Secret achievment for tripping a stripper into poop? Games like these that challenge the medium are what keep me playing games after all this time.

i expect $10, but after snaging Doom for $5, Im glad i didnt get it at $10. I mean dont get me wrong, great games. Its just a couple hours of an old 1990s game I played which i can play anytime free on the pc (or just about any device or console ever built) should not be more then $5. Ill wait for duke to become greatest hits for $5. I havent played it in like 8 years, I dont think another year or 2 of waiting will hurt.

eh. most of these old pc games have aged pretty poorly and really aren't worth much more than $5-- although i also consider the NES games as being twice as much as they should be. I would rather see a port of Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project (a very underrated game in my own opinion) although it seems like that might not happen any time soon based on what it says about the game on wiki.

I hope they include a map pack for multiplayer with a level that my friend and I made called 4square. I remember seeing it in a popular map pack back in the day That would make me get this in a heartbeat
