Speaking at the outset of this year's Leipzig Games Convention, Crytek boss Cevat Yerli revealed that the developer's graphical tour de force, Crysis, cost an estimated $22 million to create. Yerli has previously lamented the effect piracy has had on the title, but reiterated that it's still recouped the development costs, saying, "If it wasn't profitable I wouldn't be able to stand here."
Best known for their stunning visuals, Crytek's game engines are also guilty of bringing even the mightiest of gaming PCs to their knees. While the upcoming, heavily-optimized Crysis: Warhead promises a significant performance increase even on mid-range systems, Crytek is already cooking up its next GPU melter, which Yerli says should be ready by 2012. That's when he anticipates GPU tech making the next major leap in its evolution; until then, he expects fellow developers to focus more on what they already have to work with, by means of stylized graphics and hardware accelerated physics.

That's a serious expectation to make right there. I can't wait to see what kind of computers they'll be killing in 2012.

Heres a clue for bad games bad story, unbalanced, weak, dumb unfinished, ect gameplay.
Now if you want a bad game play bio..er... Jericho, if you want a better game try Time shift(or bioshock :P) or a good game try HL2+eps.
Cryisis is not bad presay but it's not good either, mainly the pacing of powers and what not made the game boring, bad story+pacing issues made the game either insanely easy or "hello mr brick wall I shall bang my head on you awhile", I mean at least Far cry flowed well enough Cryisis...not so much.
I enjoyed Time shift more even if it's a more "on ze rail" title.
BTW how much has Cryisis made so far? I hear it has done rather well for a mediocre tittle that can only run well on newer PCs..... and theyz still blame the magical one eye'd/legged bandit.... shame shame.....

I take it he's a strong believer in seppuku?
And for fuck's sake, Joystiq, isn't it about time you smacked your obviously incompetent web developers and taught them about the little CSS tag "color: black". I can barely see what I'm typing here. Any web developer worth half a shit knows that your NEVER specify a background color without also specifying a foreground color (and vice versa). Your's obviously don't.
