Alright, we get it, you don't like 360s.

But come on. You're on a video game website late at night/early morning. You're ranting on a VIDEO GAME SYSTEM. You keep posting comments in hope someone will get angry and try to communicate with you.

I like the 360 and PS3 (though I don't own a PS3) and all I think of them are GAME SYSTEMS. I'm no fanboy to any video game, but I don't think all fanboys are like this.

How about you just learn to get along with people who aren't even trying to troll YOU to begin with, maybe go play on your PS3 if you're so stubborn about failure rates, go talk to communicate with people in real life, and in the process of all of this if you would kindly unplug your Internet cables that would be great.

Or, learn to play nice. Okay? ;)

And before you say I'm on a video game website late at night too, I'm only up because I can't sleep - but I don't think I'm bothering anybody in the process :)

He only comes on here to bag out the 360 because he's bored with the lack of Ps3 games and has to burn off all his spare time coming here and being completely retarded. Mate you could be out finding a girlfriend (no red-heads for you?), hittin the beach, going to the movies, finding a console with a decent amount of games to play (Wii FTW) anything to amuse yourself. Are you going to look back in 10 years and be happy with the fact you spent so many many hours bagging out a console of all things, wasting your life away for no reason. Some people in this world dont even have elctricity. Grow up and get a life.

You know what? You guys are fucking pathetic, not him. Ever heard of "Don't feed the troll"? Report him, -1 and move on.

By retaliating, you're just fucking up the comment system because one person makes an obvious flamebait and all of you morons just turn it into a loooooong list, taking turns to insult him.Who the fuck needs that shit? Please, just stop.

@ Vaulticee

You are right on the money in your comments. I can't sleep either. I troll when I get bored.

I DO hate the fact that Microsoft deliberately launched that defective 360. No company should ever profit from such blatant dishonesty and then admit that they did it to gain on the competition. That's plain unlawful. Unforgivable. And to see the people who got burned, continue to take it and make excuses for it, just gives Microsoft the green light (no pun intended) to do it again.
Microsoft, ExxonMobile, Comcast, the Bush administration, etc. They are all screwing the American people blind. But in the case of Microsoft, you people on Joystiq make it seem like it's such a great thing to be pissed on by a giant corporation. It's fucking sickening. You make it so easy for them to continue to screw you over. And Joystiq is friggin biased as hell.

But mostly, I just do it to get a reaction outta ya, just like you said in that little whiny heartfelt moment of yours. Peace.

What, like Sony did with the PS1 and PS2 faulty laser debacle that was never really fixed?

Sony had a class action lawsuit brought upon them back in the day, i suggest you go do some research before you start typing things you know nothing about.

But then you probably arent old enough to remember the PS1.

If you're worried about crooked corporations, you should probably get out of gaming entirely.

Also, if you're going to troll, at least learn how to reply properly for fuck's sake.

Alright... first step is admitting that you're a troll. With that, you should get off Joystiq. We'd rather talk about the ACTUAL news story, not just "BAAAAAAAAAW MY XBOX DIED"... or, find something else to do with your "bored" time.

Look, I get the fact that Microsoft should have checked their systems before shipping them out. I won't say that they didn't mess up. But your little "bored trolling" isn't going to fix anything. Failure rates are down, and in the event your Xbox red-rings, you'll get your system fixed, free of cost. In my opinion, the way that Microsoft is treating the situation as of now doesn't make me think they're screwing me over for what I get with an Xbox. And although red-ringing still happens, if you take extra-special care of it to make sure it doesn't overheat it should be fine.

But eh, can't change your butthurt about things. I don't really want to argue... I'm tired, I'm going to bed.

cause, you know, Sony/Nintendo are just tree hugging people loving hippies trying to spread peace and love across the world.

And are not also money grubbing people that would sell their aunts soul for spare change.

At all....really.

Microsoft is the nickle and dimer, out to gouge the consumer one.
Nintendo is the one who doesn't really put much effort into things, because they know it's going to sell regardless.
Sony is the middle of the road of those two.

All three are damned evil, just evil in different ways.. and OF COURSE gamers are going to excuse anything. It's part of the gamer mentality.

I mean, hell, these are the same kind of people that like Gears of War. Those people deserve to have their XBOX's, Wii's, and PS3's all explode.

Microsoft didn't release anything "defective". Defective means something doesn't work from the factory or some specific item breaks on numerous machines- overheating isn't a defect, it's a design flaw...

That being said, throughout the life of my launch 360 (October 12, 2005 manufacturing date), I have never had a single RRoD. The only reason my console is dead right now is because of some random fluke with the disc drive (died about 3 weeks ago), which can and does happen in any product that uses a disc drive. That's two and a half years of use (and used heavily, occasionally on weekends I would play for about 30-40 hours straight when I was playing with friends), without a single RRoD, in in environment that you would suspect would cause one. If you get the RRoD, try turning your thermostat down from 80 degrees, or give it some room to vent.

Anyway, I can't believe the ignorance you're shitting out all over this post. Microsoft's plan was to launch before either competitor's consoles, and that's what they did... HOWEVER, they did NOT expect RRoD issues like this, and they did the HONEST and RESPECTABLE thing by giving a 3 year warranty out to those who have issues and hopefully ween out all the consoles that have issues. They have consistently retooled the 360 to allow for higher heat tolerances, and have revised their chipsets to produce less heat. Think about it- if your PS3 is in a dusty environment, there is a good chance it can overheat... If it does, Sony will NOT help due to dust buildup inside the console... Which is apparently an act of God in Sony's eyes... Not to mention the PS1 and PS2 issues... The PS1, next to the 360 has to be one of the most unreliable consoles ever, and combined with the PS2's failure rates, I'm sure that's well over the 360's.

The 360's main issue is insufficient cooling- an issue that the PS3 doesn't have to worry about, because the Cell and the RSX are both underpowered in comparison to the chips in the 360, and as such, put out less heat. Put in a dual, tri, or quad core CPU in place of the Cell, and that thing would overheat within 10 minutes, guaranteed.

Thank god there was a parent who was actually paying attention to what his kids were doing. Considering the asshatery I encounter on Live and on PSN, his actions were totally justified.

Parental involvement at its finest. If all gamer parents were this concerned, we wouldn't need the ESRB, and all the screaming 14-year-olds on XBL would vanish away . . .

yeah, because mangling something and then nailing it to a tree is perfectly suitable for children to observe.
