In his latest report from Infinity Ward HQ, community confidant Fourzerotwo brings word that the Call of Duty 4 battlefront could see some changes soon. No less than eight new multiplayer playlists are in development, of which four are currently being tested, and at least one can pass through the servers without a patch: Hardcore Headquarters. But we're taking a keen interest in another playlist, Hardcore Ricochet, which turns teamkillers' attacks against them. It's like we're rubber, they're glue -- whatever they shoot, bounces off us and ... burrows deep into their treacherous guts!
Peep the full descriptions and statuses of all the planned playlists on Fourzerotwo's blog.
[Thanks, Michael]

Oh, i thought this would address why it takes a ridiculous amount of bullets to kill people in what's supposed to be a realistic game. Now don't get me wrong I love CoD 4, and it isn't like they're the only one with the problem, Battlefield Bad Company is especially annoying in that respect.

Yeah, Battlefield: Bad Coding needs quite a few patches to fix alot of basic flaws. But it's Dice/EA, I'm not holding my breath.

How exactly will Hardcore Ricochet work? Isn't part of the point of being on Hardcore is that friendly fire's on. So like what if I throw a grenade and it accidentally kills a teammate. (Which happens for many people). Does this just kill you or is there like a warning system

Your type of people I hate playing with because you lob your random grenades around.

Glad to hear somebody thought of that too. I am 100% sure this will make things worse. It happens by accident all the time now, guy runs in front of your fire and you kill him. Now you die... great... TK'ers will just stand in front of snipers... yeah this is not a good fix. Now they can just run around, play and be a prick while they are at it.

PC already has HQ mode available in Hardcore, and the option for Reflective TKs.

It'd just be nice if they spent their time fixing the borked PS3 lobby and game joining system. Why can't I connect to a friend's game? Why can't I see the ping of the server in the lobby? Why can't I get join request DURING a level?

LOL the PC version of COD4 has had the hardcore Ricochet stuff on servers for so long. Just shows PC is superior to console with mods and Add Ons

A bit off topic but is anyone having problems with 'lag' or system hangs on Madden NFL 09? For either system?

They just don't get it. This ricochet crap will fix nothing.
Just KICK OBVIOUS TEAMKILLERS FROM HARDCORE. Is it hard? I like the vulnerability that you may kill someone accidently.
There's a world of difference between an accident with a random nade, and RPG-ing the whole team. Just kick them, leave the rest. Ugh!
