Podcast Rodeo for August 19: An ear in my beer

Console Gypsies: This is a brand-spanking new podcast, but it's already making an impressive showing. This week, we're most touched by the early discussion of Pepsiman, one of the absolute best PSone games that you've probably never played.
1UP Show: We're recommending this video podcast this week solely because of the bit about Dead Space, which starts at about 2:45. Watch, and become a believer, both in the game and in Nick Suttner's complete inability to judge a game's scientific radness.
Robotronic Dynamite: Yeah, we know, you've gotten a bellyful of Braidstiq, but this week's episode of Robotronic Dynamite features one of the most thoughtful and in-depth discussions of the game that we've heard. If Blow's baby left you puzzled give it a listen.
GFW Radio: The Brodeo, the gift that continues to give, has done it once again with a beautiful staged reading of the sexy/horrifying Age of Conan chat that got a GM canned. It starts at about 46:00, but just a warning ... you can't unhear it.
Random Pirate Comic Show: Despite the title, the RPCS is not solely about pirate-based comics. There is also gaming discussion for you to enjoy. Also, a theme song known to bring tears to the eyes of grown men.
So that's it, for this week: Email us about your show (rodeo aat joystiq dawt com) and don't forget that the best way to get into the Rodeo is to sing its praises on your show.

I love me some 1up Yours and GFW Radio.
Also, holy shit. New comment system!

I love GFW Radio.
The guys there are so chill (except for the MGS4 episode). Jeff Green is relaxed and I love it when Sean Elliot goes into a 30 minute exposition on God knows what. Not to mention it's a PC podcast that spends maybe 20% of it's time on PC games, brilliant.
Also, the Second Life episodes were legendary.
1up yours/FM can be good too, but sometimes it's too rowdy when they'll all start talking at the same time and there's more ego there.

Sexy new comment system. Lets hope it actually works this time.

Okay, the fact the comments have disappeared shows it hasn't been fixed. It's been made worse because this doesn't remember by email address. Thanks Joystiq.

Nick Suttner likes some shitty games. Just today I was listening to 1up.Fm and he was talking about how the 7Up Cool Spot game for uh, game gear or something was a great platformer. Everyone was else was like, "Uh...k. If you say so.
Oh, let's not even mention his Alone In The Dark review...

Actually, the 7up Spot game for the Genesis is pretty amazing. I'll go out on a limb and assume you really didn't get into games until the Playstation era or that you didn't read mags like Gamefan back in the day. 7up was great because of Dave Perry, who, despite his more recent crimes, was a phenom designer and programmer in the 2D age. Another inexplicably great game that shilled food products, the Treasure developed McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure.

Console Gypsies is a great find! Pepsiman is probably the best mascot ever created!
Robotronic Dynamite is pretty great too.

Podtoid is always epic, just so long as Jim Sterling is on.

GFW's rendition of the RP was priceless! It made me laugh out loud at 2 o'clock in the morning.

It isn't my show, but Drunken Gamers Radio, over at the newly made www.robotpanic.com, is brilliant. The hosts are great, and the name is probably the best description you could give it.
