During the Too Human launch signing in St. Catharines, Ontario, Denis Dyack took a few minutes to answer some of our questions. While reserved, Dyack did speak fondly of the community Silicon Knights represents, the success of the demo and misunderstandings within the media.
Surrounded by fans awaiting a signature from the Silicon Knights development team, Dyack brushed off our questions regarding the recent reviews of Too Human, message board communities and the future of both the franchise and the studio's next announcement.
He's been getting shit about it for a decade now. I'm pretty sure he's really tired of it, and just wants the game to be released so they can move on. It may not have gotten the best reviews, but they did accomplish a lot to get where they are at. Perhaps they'll be like most other 360 games and get a patch to fix some of the problems, such as the framerate and camera system. Unfortunately, I'm sure everyone wished they had taken the time to fix this beforehand. It's like they dropped the ball inbetween Eternal Darkness and the 360 version of Too Human. Blaming it on Epic Games won't do you any good when the gamer base turns against you.
I know this must be a problem just for me, but where is the interview? There's a grayed out box/picture icon that's not changing regardless of how many times I refresh the page. If it's a link, any one have the url? Or is it a video?
The first hour or so I was starting to regret my purchase, but after a while I really got into it. It's better than your average 360 game, but then again there are some pretty awful ones out there. I had to buy it regardless of the reviews because I've been waiting for it for so long, that and Shadowrun is an incredible game and look at the scores it got. Shadowrun has always been my fallback game when I got bored of the new releases. Can't get enough of it.
