GC 2008: Prince of Persia gameplay (featuring dude's head)

Down in front! Watch as some guy's head almost steals the spotlight from the Prince ... almost. Be sure to stick around for the slick Okami-esque effects near the end (warning: they're after the lame voice work.).

The graphics and gameplay look promising.
However, doesn't his enemy look an awful lot like Raziel from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver...

Extremely vague resemblance, maybe with the colors and the shroud across the face. But I do see overall design resemblances with soul reaver, and since I freaking loved that game, any parallels with it can't be a bad thing.

Not really.They have a completely different builds.
That's Raziel http://utenti.quipo.it/imperatore85/sfondi/sfondi%20raziel%206.jpg - Sleek, Agile and Athletic he's much more similar to the Prince himself.
Now onto the enemy from the trailer.He's a slow mofo that can barely move.You could have a sandwich and still dodge his attacks.He is fucking huge and fat which doesn't really look like Raziel.
The only things they have in common are rags.

Looks good, but this whole co-op jump and the chick following you sucks because Prince is a loner...and they should've kept it that way.

I thought he sounded almost exactly liek Nathan rake from Uncharted. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same voice actor

Excellent pun! Sir, I congratulate you. Double points for the apt Peter Parker comparison.
I have to say the voice surprised me too, but I kind of like it. The art and gameplay look really unique -- I'm glad they didn't go too self-serious on the voice acting. Adds a lighter touch that I think will be welcome.

Wrong, wrong. Switching from unengaging one-on-many combat to what appears to be deeper, strategic (hint: blocking is not lame) combat one-on-one is an improvement.

Aww, look at the pretty butterflies! Gah! From the first trailer, I was expecting Assassin's Creed graphics with DMC4-combat. Instead what we have here is Prince of Persia: Twilight Princess. Way too lame to be called "next-gen".
