The demo is a lot of fun, after you sort of get the idea of using and placing the satellites well, but the fact it's not multiplayer is keeping me from buying this one...so far. I might change my mind yet.
I think most, if not all arcade shooters on Live should have at least two-player modes. I'm contemplating on going back and buying Assault Heroes 2 instead actually.
I'm not knocking the single-player experience of Galaga Legions; it's a fun game! I just need a new multiplayer shooter for some friends and I to get into.

Be careful with that AH2 game man.
That game is one of my worst arcade purchases.
For the record I do love Assault Heroes one.
For some reason two is just lacking something that one had despite making every attempt to be bigger and better than the last. I dont know its just boring and the achievements were poorly thought out.
Something along the lines of Commando 3 is way better. Hell or 1942 joint strike or Rocketmen. I got all these by the way so either way I'll see you out there just trying to give you a heads up about AH2.

This game is very different from the original it doesn't maintain the originals gameplay as much as Pacman CE did. That not a bad thing mind you and if CC wasn't next week I'd buy this.
But as I said CC is next week so sorry Galaga. Maybe I'll come back to you some day.

I wasn't too impressed by the demo... seems too different from the original. Anyway CC is next week and I will have 400 msp to spend after I get it. Any reccomendations?

I recently bought and played this game earlier this morning before heading off to class. I must say its surprisingly addictive. Do not buy it in hopes of having that original Galaga feel to it. The only thing that remains true to the original is the name and the vintage "skins" that are used on your ship. If you enjoy a frenetic shooter with a lot of fast paced action, commendable sound and delightful graphics this is the game for you.

Well I for one am amazed with this game.
It breaths much needed new life into the Galaga series with really good gameplay mechanics.
I believe that this game easly blows away Geometry Wars 2, right out of the water and fact is Bizzar could learn a thing or two from these guys.
This is my 77th arcade title.
Oh what project is next for thise gem of a development team Namco keeps in their back pocket?
What other old school Namco games excluding their Tekken and Sol Cal series could they revamp next?
I'm wanting to see them get ahold of Rolling Thunder next!
