Rumor: Konami's Rock Revolution may occur in 2009

An associate producer for Konami's Rock Revolution confirmed that the game would be delayed until early 2009 during the company's Leipzig press conference, IGN reports. We've contacted Konami to find out if the representative meant that the title will be available for Europe in 2009 (this is a European press event after all), or if the game has actually been delayed from its original Fall '08 release in North America as well. We'll update as soon as we get the official skinny from Konami.

That might not be a bad move for them, cause if released his holiday, it will get zero sales compared to Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour.
But the have to release it around March to have some ok sales.

Why am I writing this since it doesn't matter since it will most likely suck.

Probably because Konami created the entire idea of band games and has used the vertical scrolling interface in their own band game since 1999.

It's too bad Zoe Mode is using it to make a game with such a terrible songlist and such dumbed-down gameplay compared to Konami's own GuitarFreaks/Drummania series.

As bad as this game is. Last time I saw the game they were using a chart similar to Mario Paint's Music (left to right) and it was even worse than this. But still, yeah it's awful compared to the angle chart GH and RB use.

Has anyone seen the god awful track list for Rock Revolution?

First there's 13 songs that were in either Rock Band or Rock Band 2 (I'm not sure if there's any from Guitar Hero 3), and there's also Fall Out Boy and Avril Lavigne!

Geez, Konami, can't you do better than that?!

I think they should have released all the guitar freak version from arcade on the wii instead as i think it would be more suited to wii as the track list for this game looks crap and some songs have already been done before i think. Im getting gh:wt though but hope that before RB2 is released they make GH controllers compatible as ea are not releasing rb2 bundles straight away so it would make sense.
