I've always wondered why this seemed like a big deal to everyone, what does the real singer in an instrumental do? I mean they could handle it several ways:
1: Singer does nothing
2: Singer does Tamborine things
3: Singer can free style
4: Singer can make a samich

If they don't release it the week of Rock Band 2's release, I think it's safe to say "never." Harmonix really backpedalled on Nevermind when asked about it a couple of months ago, even going so far to say "it was never officially announced" (which is a lame cop-out since HMX employees had mentioned it more than once when the first game came out).
Maybe Courtney doesn't like video games.

You're joking right? Moving pictures is, at least, quadruple platinum, and being as that cert was in January '95, I find it VERY hard to believe it has not sold at least a million since then. That aside, this is fucking awesome. Not their best album, not even close, but any complete Rush album is amazing, and there are far worse ones, not to mention Red Barchetta could very well be the best RB song to date.

To frostyc: Try reading... Those numbers are for 91-date. They do not include sales before that. Moving Picutes has sold 4+ million and is certified quadruple platinum in the US. I got the information from wikipedia, but you can verify it at several different sources.

This may be my first double-dip (Tom Sawyer)...if they are in the business of getting master tracks after already making us buy cover versions, I wish they'd get the goddamn masters for Run to the Hills and Number of the Beast. You know, I never liked Rush that much, even though I like a lot of 70s/early 80s prog. Until RB, that is. Those Rush songs are so damned fun, I can't help but like them more outside of the game now!

Check out their concert dvd's, you may find that you really like them. The concert performances are what got me into the band originally. Before watching the shows, all I knew of them was a few songs I'd heard on the radio. After watching a few concerts, I was converted and became a huge fan. I since bought nearly all of their albums on Amazon and all of their dvd's, even saw 'em live just a few months ago. One of my favorite bands!
Can't wait for next week to get here. The guy who sang the songs in the cover versions... not so good.

These guys are the epitome of masturbatory math rock. A bunch of people who, while undeniably skilled at their instruments, write and play atrociously bad music in which everyone tries to show off their skill at once. No interplay, no common voice, no connection.
