The Last Guy will be fully released in Japan next week. On August 28, the full game will be available on the Japanese store for ¥2,000 ($18.44). For those who purchased the Japan Premium pack (which was the Asakusa-only level), you can get a refund of your ¥500 for purchasing the full game. However, you'll only have until October 31 to get the "discount."
Checking out the newly released trailer (embedded above), the game will include cities such as London, Berlin, Sydney, Yokohama, Washington D.C., and San Francisco, and will also include a whole slew of new (and deadly-looking) monsters. Now, all we need to do is wait for dates and prices on a Western release to pop up.

I don't get why they didn't include a level editor so you could make your city a level. It seems easy enough.

Maybe because some levels or photos or whatever you upload wont be playable...like the demo where you input a web page and it convert it to a last guy level... ps3fanboy was unplayable :S or maybe because someone will use a boob as a level and upload it to youtube and then fox news will bash the game.
I have a question to anyone.. is home beta for US out or not? oh...and what was that game or games sony was telling in e3 it was bigger than lbp and resistance?

Yeah, that's what I was wondering a while ago when it was released. It would have just added to the replayability of the game.
At first it seems simple... but then I realized. Maybe they have to program their little aliens & savior dude to "react" to the surrounding buildings & terrain. You know... if you made a level based on a junkyard, the aliens would react to it as if they were on the street?
I dunno. I'm not game developer, but I also wonder that it would deminish their idea of creating more & more add-ons for profitability.
Imagine if they used Google street-view. That would have been so awesome. With an FPS style attatched to it. Heh, I can dream can I? :P

how would you make a level editor? you can't. think of all the invisible walls you'd have to create to make paths on each street and inbetween buildings. you'd also have to create paths for the people in each building to pour out of as well as monster reactions/paths. it would take forever.
