it's too late! i'm already rich!!! also what's going to stop people from just ignoring the update? or just doing the little harddrive cache clear thing or whatever that removes all game patches on the harddrive?

I THINK IT'S A LOAD OF BULL! THEY SHOULD RESET EVERYONES WINNINGS AS WELL IF THEY PATCH. I DON'T FIND IT FAIR THAT SOME ARE ALREADY CHEATING AND WILL HAVE UNLIMITED MONEY IN THE GAME PRACTICALLY.

Why do you care either way? If somone else uses this exploit, it doesn't have an impact on your game. If you don't want to use it, don't, if you do, go ahead. At this stage in the game, Lionhead, it's a bit pointless to patch it.

it ain't exactly an mmo. stop whining. your game won't affect mine. if you join someone else's game and don't like their amount of money (or anything else about them) simply drop out. crybaby.

Like it really matters, we've all exploited it at this point so no matter. Plus it's not like we can't deny the update and still exploit it, and even if we do we can just remove the patch with a cache format. But nice try Lionhead ;-)

Er, um, you do know they'll reset your gold total to ZERO after the update, right? (See: Texas Hold'em after the exploit patch.)

I agree with you CO$T, it isn't fair. People are ruining their game experience.
Hopefully they make it so you have to update to continue to play the game and remove all gold for those who used the exploit.
But how should I know? I don't have a Xbox Live membership.

If people want to ruin it, let them ruin it. I thought about using it but considered how it would effect the game play and changed my mind.
I got a pretty big wad of cash (about 150k) on my own and I'm not even sure if I will use it the first go around.

How about fixing the far more annoying problem first...
If anything is downloading in the background while you play F2: Pub Games, then as soon as the 'download complete' box appears the game will go mental and you will have to quit out to the dashboard without saving and boot the game back up to continue!

I believe they need to fix the bug where you try to pay off your debt with your winnings before you exit a game, then when you exit the game takes the buy in fee again after you already payed it.
I don't see how they could scrap everyones winnings considering some people never used the exploit.

Let me explain... it affects your character and ruins it for yourself. Yet I bet you don't care, you must be just like your character. Greedy, selfish and do you have yellow teeth?

I cannot believe the nerds complaining about someone else having more pretend money than they do in an rpg that isn't even an mmo and will never affect them at all. Too funny.

Meh, I don't really care either way. I'll probably use the exploit today but as a whole I hate the pub games. They could've make it like poker or something where it involves actual skill rather than some strategy and a shitload of luck.

Um, WHAT? Fortune's Tower is all about strategy. Like Poker and Blackjack, you have to know when to say "stop" and when to press your luck.
Keystone has the same strategy as Roulette.
Only Spinnerbox is completely out of your hands, just like slot machines.

Even if it does come out, just don't update. Then update when you feel you've earned enough and get your score uploaded after you update.
And if you DO update then just do the Hard Drive 'maintenance' fix to delete the update and repeat!

It would be rather mean-spirited to wipe everyone's gold. Many people have earned their winnings fair and square. It would be shocking and highly annoying if you patched and all your honestly earned winnings are gone.
Either way, I'm leaving my 360 untethered from my modem until I know what this patch is going to do. :)

They better release the patch with some good updates (a better spinnerbox perhaps?) because why else would anyone update their game? Perhaps if they updated to make the randomization just a tad less "fixed". For a good example, play the tournament spinnerbox, vs a regular spinnerbox session. In tourney you actually "gain" gold, but in a regular session you lose gold more than gain it.

Although it will be really cool to be able to buy everything that you want to I think it will ruin the game and make it boring. It will defeat the purpose of having to make tricky choices between letting someone live which might help you in the future or killing them and getting alot of money. Like in Fable with Whisper.

Seriously, without the "cheat" I would have stopped playing the pub games. At lower levels I had nothing but bad luck... of course the game say thaqt with higher tables your chances improve and it's true. However, without the 'glitch' I wouldn't have gone on to really figure the games(excluding spinnerbox) out.
I used the glitch to get to about 100,000 gold. But I started noticing patterns and got a good grasp on the games, so I didn'n't need the cheat anymore.
What I learned:
F. Tower:
1. Bet big always.
2.Once the gate card is gone guessimate your chances and either press or fold.
3. When betting big(always), cash out after the card total gets above 15 for the first time. ( you could press your luck, but it's a 50/50 shot...)
KeyStone:
Use the trips method - it really works well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la7R4z-Baa8
Spinnerbox:
Win a lot of money in other games, then work on spinnerbox.
Tip for spinnerbox: Press A... a lot... then keep pressing A....
