Video: Jumping Mirror's Edge gameplay
24
Fresh from the Games Convention comes new Mirror's Edge gameplay footage depicting a few solid minutes of action packed running, jumping, diving and climbing. The first "Energy Plant" gameplay video (embedded above) shows off some rather sexy moves and acrobatic sequences all ending in a watery slip-n-slide. The second video (after the break) is a bit less exciting and kinda shows what happens when your jumping skills aren't up to par. It's Mirror's Edge video goodness, now go watch.

gotta love how bright and helpful those red boxes are. even in the darkest places.

You see through the eyes of faith.
Anything red is considered 'runners vision'
something she'd be able to use to move.
They're bright so you notice them

I don't think I'll be able to play that. I was getting a little motion sickness just watching the preview video.

I haven't read much about this game, but the trailers that I've seen it looks like it's a game of nothing but running and jumping. Is that suppose to be fun? It seems like it should be on XBLM, not retail.

Looks different due to the scan rate on the monitor.

My main issue is that the game is "on rails", that there's only one correct solution, rather than multiple tactics.

It seems like it is going to play like a rhythm game of sorts which might be cool. Kinda like a racing game, but on foot.
On the other hand as cool as it looks it might give me a headache to play, and so I think I'll try before I buy(e.g. rent.)
Oh and gameplay not conducive to multiplayer means not much replay value besides to show off...
Still I think this will be an awesome game to rent and I am looking forward to it's release!

There's going to have to be a demo of this for me to buy this game. Too many element sof it make me think it will become too repetitive. The first person element looks to have been implemented well but there needs to be more to it than what i've seen so far.

that game would be pretty sick if it was third person. that would be a definite rent then maybe buy, but i got pretty sick watching that.

Anyone remember the ol Xbox game Breakdown?
Which got horrible reviews but I liked it.
It looks similar. They should have given us powers dammit.

I still don't get why this game is first-person. It would be so cool in third-person. As it is, the repetitiveness sets in really fast, and it's overall vaguely motion sickness-inducing.
