Wow. I'm sorry, but if that's Murray's sense of humour then I would NOT want to read an entire blog of that kind of writing.

Does this wheel actually work with MARIO KART?

Granted, the only racing games I liked on the system was that and EXCITE TRUCK thus far... but it's nice to know, should another good racing game come along.

Amusement Vision apparently doesn't exist anymore (thanks to SEGA restructuring), but i'm still eager to see what happens with F-Zero on Wii, after the technical tour-de-force of GX

The only problem is that i can't imagine them hosting 30 simultaneous players. Mario Kart Wii was surprisingly smooth, but i still can't imagine them hosting more than twice the players in a game where smooth speed is as important as F-Zero

WTF. I can get down with the Nintendo hate from time to time, but Wiley just tries so hard, its almost sad to see him fall flat on his face

Contribute? All you have done (says your recent posts) is say that you have discussed the topic at hand in your podcast/blog.

Eh, that was supposed to be a reply.

Anyway. This wheel is something that just seems unnessicary. When playing Mario Kart, I never get a "realistic" vibe. It's more of just a crazy fun action racing game. The Wii Wheel fits the game just fine, and since the first Wii Wheel you get is free, I can't really complain. Most of my friends use gamecube controllers anyway.

Eh, the $90 Balance Board is an investment like the console itself, which is why i never invested. Once there is enough sundry software to meet my interest (more stuff like Kororinpa 2). It's a dumb idea to buy $90 for one product, but it'll appreciate

Also: Blue Shells, as imagined in their current, winged form, are a nuisance to everyone except the guys in 2nd and 3rd place. The guy in 9th place who fires one off is getting absolutely nothing for his trouble, it's the guys who are just behind the poor man in first that reap the rewards, unless they're too too close, then the guy in 4th benefits

$90 can be expensive or it can be a steal, depending on how it's used.

I have Wii Fit and it's the only game my parents have ever played on Wii, and they play it frequently. Between me, my brother, and my parents, it's a rare day indeed when Wii Fit isn't played for more than an hour. I'd say that makes the investment well worth it, especially when it's getting us all some exercise.

This thing looks like it has better paddles than my Driving Force GT. I really wish the Driving Force GT (PS3) had a lap-mount option too.

lap mount would be nice. However, mine has the table clamps which I find perfect for racing games like GT Prologue. The problem was finding a table without rounded edges that had the perfect height for my stature. The table clamps should be optional or there should be a way to have be lap-able.

Logitech force feedback wheels are incredible. I have the gran turismo one (not the brand new one but the previous iteration). This is what the Wii needs. I can't stand flailing the wii wheel around in Mario Kart without that sturdy base.

Bravo!

What a waste. Is there any racing game worth playing on the Wii that isn't MarioKart. Seems like Logitech is trying to capitalize on the Wii's popularity to sell this overpriced hunk of junk

I think the Wii Wheel is perfectly fine. Plus this thing is currently only compatible with 1 game (Need for Speed: Undercover) and uses a USB dongle (Thus not compatible with Wiimote controlled games). I really doubt too many games will support this controller.

Hopefully Logitech keeps the + d-pad for all of it's controllers now. Those circular ones are horrible...

"Now, why anyone would jump to purchase a $100 peripheral for a $250 console is the real question that needs answering."

So why would anyone pay $180 for a 120 GB hard drive for a $200 Xbox 360 Arcade?
