In an interview with
Gears of War 2 lead designer Cliff Bleszinski at X08 in Toronto, Canada, we learned of an upgraded version of the original "Seriously" achievement, first seen in the popular franchise's previous installment. The achievement, "Seriously 2.0," requires 100,000 kills across the single and multiplayer campaign of the anticipated title. Yikes!

If anyone here gets that achievement just know this, you do not have a bigger epenis then anyone else. Yours is smaller by default, since you wasted so many precious hours getting a small achievement. All your earn is my disrespect and a small gamerpic to make it up to you. Every player without this stupid achievement, better yet, every person in the entire world will look down upon you with disgust. Seriously, there are a lot of other things you could be doing to better use your time wisely: helping the elderly, cleaning your house, cutting yourself. Yes that's right, it would be a better use to be cutting yourself.

Well if it's across single-player, you could probably play the campaign about 100-200 times through.
That'll probably be a LOT less time than playing on multiplayer.

i don't even know what the Seriously Achievement in the first game was about. i'm not really an Achievement whore (think i've earned about half the Achievements in the first game) and can't recall earning anything that said "Seriously".
as for Cliffy's comments on Too Human, who cares. he seems to rag on everything not his, but i have a funny feeling he's gonna have nothing but glowing praise for Too Human, him being the Microsoft puppet he is.

From Gears 1 I got every Single player achievement and some MP achievements but to be honest Gears of war online achievements never were fun by so many reasons.You don’t have to be an achievement whore to enjoy achievements for example I just like to complete my games but in the case of Gears of war 2 I’ll just stick with Single player and Co-op after that I’ll be playing Viva Piñata 2.

I never cared for the Gears of War 1 achievements, because most of them weren't even real achievements, they were mostly just "Do this thing a lot" which isnt really much of an accomplishment compared to something like the mile high club on CoD 4. It's not exclusively a problem GoW has, a whole lot of games do it, but GoW was the most popular for a long time

CoD4 isn't the best example for Achievements either.
Most of them were either "Finish X","Finish Y and Z" or "Finish X,Y and Z on Veteran".
Hardly any more creative than GoW's imo.Now if you want a good example, look at Orange Box or Team Fortress 2.

That was hard, frustrating and it wasn't fun at all although it was incredibly easy after getting Gold on Portal challenges which reminds me I never got “Aperture Science” in TOB and I only need 2 gold medals.
Yeah it was pretty much grinding and If you look in the bio of the people who have all Gears achievements they don’t have more than 2500p or 4000p which means they only played Gears and the people who have over 10,000 glitch it.
To be honest Gamerpoints are ridiculous if you have a lot of them you probably have more games and that’s it. In my case I just want to beat the game 100% and even when I got a 100% I don't feel like I Beat it completly.

Yes but you know that MP doesn't works like that. All MP achievement sound good in Theory but since every one tries to get the same achievement they should just make the achievements optional and give us the weapons already.

i didnt mean that Mile High Club was a real fun achievement, but it was a god damn pain in the ass to do, so imo completing it was much more of an accomplishment than repetitive killing with different weapons for achievements

Well if it's through both then alot of people will just be playing SP for the achieevemt, since it sounds like you could get 99,999 and just 1 MP kill to get it.

Am I the only one who thinks this achievement will not take as long as 10,000 from gears 1? First off all it logs all your kills not just ranked multiplayer. Second of all like someone said above I saw a scene where there are hundreds of enemies on screen to shoot with the new rail gun. On top of that you have horde mode which is non stop enemies in waves. Now assuming horde mode counts (dont see why it wont since single player will count) this should not take as much time as the first "seriously" ach did.

No, people who get seriously like one game and dont spend all of their money on a variety of games like 3/4 of the kids on this board. Gears of War's multiplayer achievements were the best thing that gears could have brought, i actually find it disappointing that 100,000 kills can be in campaign i think thats garbage. As for the kids who say I play it for fun not for the achievements, those are the kids that enjoyed there shitty little trophies at the end of little league when they came in last place. Grow some balls and get a sense of competition cause in all reality life is a big competition. For example School competing for a grade, competing for a job, competing for girls.
