The Fable 2 development blog also has some handy tips and tricks on how to play the games and improve your odds. Remember, if you're looking for in-game items and less risk, check out the tournaments. They're a great way to brush up on your gambling strategies without losing gobs of cash.

Everyone, after the update:
1) Clear xbox cache (using LB, LB, Y,Y, RB,RB or something like it)
2) use cheat a billion times without the update.
3) ????

Personally, I like to be "all powerful" and "uber rich" in games where I can buy anything I want. You know why? BECAUSE I CAN'T DO IT IN REAL LIFE! Sometimes its nice to escape from reality in more ways than one :-D

They have no way of knowing who used the exploit unless they've been tracking the players' "stats" from the very beginning. And because of the kind of patch they need (something like, "if user has pressed deal, LeftBumper = null") I doubt they would have thought to track anything in the first place.

Who cares? It's not a fucking MMO, if people want to spoil their game then so be it. They won't even be able to use ANY of the good stuff because if it's anything like Fable then Epic Gear will only appear at the end of the game and/or have a level cap etc.

If will be like the original Fable,then there is really no point in having all this money unless you're really into buying houses or need a lot of food/potions.
If you KNOW where to go chances are you'll be able to find weapons that are much more powerful then anything that the shops will be able to sell you until a "certain stage".I've spent over 40% of the game running with the Legendary Pickaxe I've found behind one of the secret doors in Darkwood.And Darkwood was...mind me, second maybe third quest in the entire game.

As for what you've described as "best weapons and armour" none of these ,mind one infinitely expensive sword, can be bought from a shop - and that's at a very end-game stage.The rest has to be acquired through long scavenger hunts,or by solving the Guardian Door's riddles.
That's what makes Fable so awesome!

Yeah, the only real advantage you'd have would be buying housing and furniture. Seems kind of a waste to cheat to do all that, but again. If you want to start the game with bucket loads of cash, I don't see why not.
I'd personally rather start off as a hobo and have to work my way up though.

It's not going to take the money we've already earned, will it? I'm thinking today I'm going to try to get like 25,000 coins.
Just got Pub games yesterday and I'm already at 11,000 gold. Only reason I want the gold is because it was really hard to buy anything in Fable. I could only afford my favorite armor and a decent weapon for most of the game.
I'm a collector, so I like to have lots of different full outfits.

Other than the MC set I'm probably going to grab whatever I can like every other game.
Maybe you know this one game, there was an RPG I don't remember the name but there was a bonus if you managed to gather all the pieces of one set for example:
If you gather all the pieces of the Guacamolito armor you got a +10 armor bonus and the armor bonus was bigger if the set was very rare like this armor set that was really bad until you gather all the pieces then it gave you an incredibly broken bonus.
I forgot the name of that game, I remember the gameplay wasn’t very original but it was good.

Well I'm in a similar situation right now since Oblivion money glitch was patched. After all this time they decided to patch it now when I'm just started to play it again.
True you can't get the best stuff but I guess every game is the same. You aren't suppose to get 7689 pieces of gold at level one to get those +3 strength gloves also that by the time you get that much you will probably looking forward to +10 gloves or something.
Now I tried the game and to be honest other than the glitch there is nothing appealing about the pub I mean you could use those 800p to buy better games. It’s nice that they included in the LE because no way I’m spending 800p on that.
Finally as everybody knows Quest gear> Store gear, stores sell crap compared to what you are going to find in later levels.
P.S I never realized this but wow potions in Diablo are expensive ,I mean damn if it wasn’t for the money cheat I would never have advanced in Hell difficulty since you consume potions like common water in that game and potions in Oblivion are also very expensive but good thing there is Alchemy.

I like the idea of earning the money just in case... and that just in case is if your playing the game and find it's hard to make money, or you get sick of working little jobs and just want a home. You don't HAVE to merge your character with the pub games and get the money, you only do that if you want to. So it's you can play through as a Ho-Bo, and then when that tires, merge with your money, and buy up Albion like your Donald Trump.

Got the pub games for free due to a pre-order and if it wasn't for the glitch, and the items you can unlock, I wouldn't even play it. All of the games seem to have really poor/aweful odds for the player (yes, just like real casinos) and aren't fun as is. I know some will say you have to use some strategy but sometimes fortunes tower doesn't even give you a chance when you get several misfortunes in a row and on the 2nd or 3rd or cards.

I used the exploit and have over 1.7million already. My stats don't show up on the leader board so somehow the program knows not to include 'cheated' stats. (I assume this 'exploit' was a testers cheat that was accidentally left in.
My concern with the update is what happens to that money?.. does it get reset?.. I planned on using those other character slots for legit and have that one "Poe" being the rich cheater dude.

The leaderboard only tracks money won in tourneys. So, unless you keep redoing the tower tourney, you'll never get very high on the board.

After FINALLY getting my pre-order code, I don't even understand why people are cheating. Fortunes Tower is a pretty fun game, and with just a little bit of effort, it's very easy to make a lot of money. I got 5,000 gold last night alone, not cheating.
The best method I can find is to always take the offer, providing it's over 12.
The other games are pointless and not even fun to play, but you could easily make a lot from Fotunes Tower and just spend it all on the other games. These games should have been free, period though.

well the point is when u can bet 150... and use the cheat to say u bet 1500... if u get a hand worth 10 thats 1000 gold... so u spend a whole night getting 5000 gold when i can spend like 2 hands and make that much so think about it whenever the game comes out u will have spent tons of nights working for 5000 when u can cheat a lil bit and be done with it have a life ya kno meet some girls then play the game when it comes out

I knew it would only be a matter of time before they came out with the patch. I for one will not allow the patch, and this could mean that I cannot be connected to xbox live while playing the pub games (who cares) or possibly Fable 2 (that would suck). I plan to have several heroes, some good, some evil, some poor, and yes some very rich since I've already accumulated over a million with the glitch.

I'd like some confirmation before I patch whether we who did use the glitch/exploit aren't going to loose all our time and effort by getting our bank accounts wiped clean.
I'm just hoping the patch just removes that left bumper glitch and leave our stats alone.

i downloaded pub games a few days ago, found out about the LB glich, and now have over 1 million gold. what i'd like to know, if anyone here can tell me, is will i have my gold when fable 2 comes out or did i waste my money and my time.
when i downloaded it from live it never said there was an update for it so i'm wondering if the patch is already there. i have no debt when playing, but when i highlight it in my games catogory on the dashboard it says i have
-690 gold. is this because it knows i cheated and is keeping me off the leaderbords? if so i'm fine with that, i cheated and do not want to take away from those who earned there gold legit. i just dont want to have wasted money on a game i otherwise would have never played.

Reese: The reason it says you have -690 on the leaderboards is because the leaderboards only show how much you have earned playing tournaments. Otherwise the leaderboard leaders would have a lot more money.

well i agree, i have 3.4 million and wont patch if i think they will take my money away. lets face it there's cheats for pretty much every game out there and its down to the players whether they use em or not. i think they should take the lb glitch away but leave us cheaters alone i say.

I hope you guys lose all your money. I hope in some way it screws up your game. I hope in some way you realize "cheating" is wrong. One one is willing to work for what they want and gotta have everything now. That's why are are the most overweight country and 60% of us are in debt - cause we are lazy bums. And most cheats that are in a game are because the developers put them there - this "cheat" is an EXPLOIT - not really a cheat.

hey cheaters suck...stop caring about what others do on their games it really affect you in any way and they have fun cheating...or exploiting...personally i dont like to cheat i find it much more fun to do things the hard way but pub games is lame and boring and i chose to EXPLOIT it that way i dont waste all of my time in such a lame game..but if i did loose all of my money i would lmao and remove pub games from my system. as for the 60% of america being over wait i agree with you but cheating in games isnt the problem, and i think that all the girls should work out a little more im tired of having to look for a girl who is skinny so girls work out and guys keep doin what ur doin your makin my job easier

modded fable 2 pub games. 999,999,999,999 gold. 999,999 points, 5 star rating, all concept art unlocked, all prized unlocked, modded my characters name. 2nd day of having fable 2 pub games and 1st person to mod fable 2 pub games or indirectly mod fable 2. they can only track the exploit by tracking the amount of money you have. dont bother pissing yourself they're making a stupid bluff anyone with half a brain could work out
