It appears that the next episode of Sony's Qore digital magazine will feature the Motorstorm: Pacific Rift demo a month before it's free for all. That means $3 can secure you the demo, at least if you don't want the $25 annual Qore subscription, which will net you Calling All Cars as well.
The fourth installment of Qore will also feature a LittleBigPlanet theme, Prince of Persia and BioShock ... yes, we wrote that just in case you somehow missed the same information in the picture above.

I agree and would like to add that from all I can tell is that Qore is nothing but a bunch of advertainments or game advertisements.
Paying to be sold is daft.

I see Sony's marketing has taught you well. Something that would otherwise be free, now requires you to buy Qore. Unless you REALLY believe this demo wouldn't be available at the same time, in which case you're a tool.

I'm gonna smack myself in the jaw and not make any mention of GT5P to avoid another flamewar.

Qore was the biggest waste of $25 evar, nothing but advertisements and the content is pretty lousy. Hell, I'd rather pay for a gamepro subscription :\

It's like Xbox Live Gold.
After seeing how much PS3 costed Sony - I am not suprised that they trying to made money by charging for demos and betas.

How so? are you being forced to pay to play online?

Yeah, this is pretty devious PR spin on Sony's part with this "get the demo early!" BS, when in actuality, it's every non-subscriber getting the demo late. That's not to say Microsoft isn't even more guilty of this, with their "only Gold Live members get any demo on time" gig.

I agree, except for me it's the theme. Paying for a theme = laaaaammee. Don't give a rats ass about MS:PR, but I wants me some LBP themeage.
This is why I have been so outspoken against the way XBL does things... because I was afraid it would rub-off on other companies.
Give them an inch, they take a mile... so NOBODY pay for Qore, nobody pay for XBL, and hope to god that Valve doesn't get any ideas from this BS. Well, at least that's the angle I take... but I have been told that I'm a bit loony.

Qore is a digital download show/magazine. It takes money to produce. Asking for people to pay a little extra for inside information, and to help pay for the production of the show is NOT a lot to ask.

uh-oh. i can wait on the Pacific Rift demo (don't need the demo to convince me to get the game anyway), but the themes i want. i'm willing to bet that, had we no Qore, those themes would've been free. not cool, making people pay for it. betas maybe, but not exclusive themes. guess i need to figure out how to make my own danm themes.

Qore is teh gay. First off, it's made by the same people who create The Official PlayStation Magazine, which I subscribed to. PTOM is supposed to be the ONLY exclusive look inside all things PS, as stated in the first issue. But wait! Future Publications wants to charge me MORE for what they said I'd already be getting! Shocking! I should get Qore free, or vice versa, if they want two mags that do the same thing. And, paying for closed betas? WTF? Are you guys short on hats? And paper slips? Guess what, stupid customers? You ARE paying for them, whether you consider them a bonus or not. Same goes for themes and demos. Qore is just a bunch of crap wrapped up in Belmont paper. The "articles" aren't compelling in the least ( I got Ep. 1 for free through a PTOM promo code, which is close to my hopes and dreams). Furthermore, they are using your subscription type as a eligibility ticket (i.e., This item only for year-long customers). So poo on them.

I have a subscription to the Offical PlayStation Magazine and the last two or three issues have had codes to download Qore for free...

No. That's not true. That's impossible!
The most recent issue (September) has the promo code for Ep. 1.
You said you had free Qore and you LIED!

I got the October issue yesterday (DC Universe cover) and there's a code for Qore #2. So, yeah, apparently they are giving them away six weeks after you can buy them...but they are free...

Sadly, perhaps Alex needed to repeat everything a 3rd time since no one seems to be reading the actual details. "Pay for a demo?" No, you're not. "This demo will be free at the same time." What does MONTH mean? "Qore is all ads." As opposed to what? Videos about games coming out that they DON'T want you to buy?
It's $3, ladies. You spend that much on lip gloss a month. Skip the manicure and get it for a year.
Or don't. That's the joy of not being forced to spend money on things.

I was about to tell you why you were a mindless pawn of big business and feeble mind tricks by marketers, but I think your icon illustrates that perfectly.

I'm less of a pawn because I don't think Qore is worth it's charge. Qore=fail and so does anyone who thinks that they are getting any "exclusive" content for freebies. And I was subscribed to PTOM since it was independent. I'm OG, diglett!

I'll wait for the demo to come out a few weeks later. I already know I'm buying the game anyways. I hope that LBP theme comes out later too. I'm surprised Sony hasn't released one yet. Seeing as its one of their most anticipated titles.

Huh? Why are people complaining about advertising in this thing? What do you think gaming magazines were? Qore is there so you could get to know the games closer, it's pretty much a virtual Playstation Underground, nothing wrong with it at all.
