Microsoft releases its PAX schedule: Gears 2, Halo Wars, New Xbox Experience
Microsoft has released their partial game schedule for the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, and it's chock full of Gears of War 2, Halo Wars, and the New Xbox Experience ... experience. Sure there's plenty of other stuff happening at their booth as well, but we're drooling over these three right now, fetch the bibs. Hopefully those "TBA" slots mean there's going to be some surprises from Bungie someone, which will really kick our saliva glands into high gear.
If you're going to be at PAX, be sure and stop by for some hands-on time with these titles, and then search out one of your favorite Joystiq bloggers to pal around with. We'll be the ones with the plastic spit-shields on to keep the precious electronics dry.

all i want is a bigger/cheaper hard drive... 250 - 300 gb plzkthx
CesarSalad @ Aug 25th 2008 11:55PM
oh yea, that too. 20GB is not enough for all my best shows in it. HD weights a LOT
Obie @ Aug 26th 2008 12:23AM
You "pay" for shows? *tee hee*
colin @ Aug 26th 2008 12:49AM
i pay for shows. currently i have every available episode of the office, dexter, californication, and scrubs. i download them all too, but if i like it, i buy it.
Xoviet chiK @ Aug 26th 2008 4:37AM
Yes, bigger HDD is much needed.
When I have to delete 90% of my XBLA games just to make room for Rock Band Tracks or Toss out Shivering Isles for Halo 3 Maps then we have a problem. I actually went through every single gamer picture deleting them one by one, just to clear up a few measly Megabytes.
Also, on Television shows. I really wish they'd offer a subscription model like iTunes. I'm not going to be able to watch my favorite show this fall (Life!) since it's in a ridiculous new time slot, would be nice to get some discount if I want to download the entire HD season.
Travis @ Aug 26th 2008 10:33AM
either that, or announce some update that allows us to use multiple 20gb HD's so we can hit ebay up and grab a bunch...
CesarSalad @ Aug 25th 2008 11:54PM

TBA=Banjo, Viva Pinata, community games, Alan Wake?
Arnon @ Aug 26th 2008 12:34AM
I'm predicting a showing for Bungie considering they said they're working on 3 new titles.. possibly:
Halo 4 or another form of Halo
A new Oni
A new Marathon
Hopefully we see something of:
Alan Wake
Splinter Cell Conviction
Forza Motorsport 3
The Crossing
KOTOR 3/MMO (god I hope)
Project Offset
Maybe a complete confirmation of a price drop (since the rumor has been going around)
A larger GB SKU
More info about the new dashboard
Complete Internet Browser
Blu-Ray drive built into new models, or the ability for someone to buy a drive and put it in the 360 without voiding any warranty. (Probably not)
Showing of next XBOX
These are just some ideas.. what do you guys think?
Wiinterfang @ Aug 26th 2008 1:37AM
Oni? That sounds familiar.

That kid is just adorable, and Yet that better be Sega Superstar Tennis or something.
gerogel @ Aug 26th 2008 8:03AM
The kid looks like their brain is dying as they play. see what tv is doing to kids? tv has warped their fragile little minds
Boffo the Sock @ Aug 26th 2008 9:17AM
Never mind those studies that keep popping up here and there that show some of the advantageous effects of playing video games. Oh look! Here's a recent one.

SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread) @ Aug 26th 2008 10:30AM
well that looks about like E3 but im absolutely sure they will have more than that to show. i tell ya, Microsoft certain has their Games Convention strategy down pat. they dont seem to disappoint.
im still curious as to what this Alan Wake is though. everyone always puts it in their list of future big name titles, but i have absolutely no clue what it is honestly. guess ill have to Wiki it or something.
Dirty @ Aug 26th 2008 10:42AM
