It looks like Amazon is looking to grab the attention of 360 RPG gamers, because the company is currently listing the Fable II Limited Collector's Edition for $66.99, a full $13.00 off the retail price. Our instinct is to believe it must be an incorrect listing, but the page makes it quite clear that the listed price is 16% off retail and it includes the correct October 21 release date. So, if you're looking for some Fable goodness on the cheap (don't forget that pre-ordering at Amazon also nabs you the Fable II Pub Games for free), head over to Amazon and snatch one of these babies up. If you do so successfully, be sure to mention it in the comments!
[Thanks, Saeth]

Can you cancel the pre order after you've gotten the code?

Probably, but they will more than likely deduct the $10 cost of the Pub Games.

i preordered it weeks ago. they send out the code a couple of days after you order it. I checked the status today, and amazon has dropped my preorder price to 66.99. Nicccceeeee. didn't even have to ask.

I pre ordered but I don't see where they say you get the pub games code...I hope they are still honoring that. Either way, I canceled my 79.99 gamestop pre order and grabbed this deal instead. (gamestop didn't send me the pub games code either)

I checked my preorder made 2 weeks ago; the price on my order has been retroactively lowered by $13... very nice.

I figure since i'd pay $63 at Gamestop with taxes, $3 more the LE would not be a bad deal. I chose to be patient, and got the free delivery option.

Same, free shipping. I was gonna wait till Christmas and get it then and Fallout on release, but this deal did it for me. Fallout will wait till Christmas and Fable on release (plus a few days shipping). I don't mind waiting a few extra days. I am in school anyways, so an extra few days shipping is not always a bad thing.

excellent info. already pre-ordered there anyway, but still good info for the kids. They have a policy that if they lower the price of an item you've already pre-ordered, you get the lower price.

Lame. Gamestop doesn't appreciate you, why go on forums and spout free ads for them?

You'd be missing out on a lot of in-game content..
Complete new dungeon
Master Chief Armor (Fable-ized)
A special sword
and some other stuff I believe.. This is the kind of stuff that Limited Editions need to come with.. I don't care to buy stuff for a small figurine (even though that Hobb looks awesome). I would rather have In-game content.

Just ordered mine. Hope to get the pub games code soon, before my Xbox returns from its RROD repair.

Random question, but I heard (never played) the first Fable was a bit on the short side. No, I am not comparing this to Oblivion or Fallout. I have heard that for years. Anyways, that is not my question. My question is: How long is this game supposed to be? Longer than the first I hope? As long as Oblivion? Half as long? Has anything been said? I am just curious as I do not recall having heard anything and I hope it is a long game with great replay value.

If you had to grind through the story, it would be 12-15 hours.. which is actually longer than Oblivion if you were to grind through it.

Well I pre-ordered mine and I haven't gotten an update, so I might cancel it, then get it again. So with that $13 off I can get like 1000 MSP so I can like get Duke Nukem 3D or something.

Aw, crap! I should have bought that instead of the Tales of Vesperia LE set. Now I have to wait two weeks and hope it doesn't change xP.
Meh, story of my life. About two weeks after I buy my 360, I find out the system's gonna have a price drop in another month. Not only could I have saved some more to buy more games, I could have saved the money that went to buying the system itself. My timing sucks T.T...

Thanks for the heads up. Hadn't yet pre-ordered but as soon as I saw this I snapped it up along with a copy of Force Unleashed...both arriving on their Release Day. Note: if you're not premiere you'll be paying the release day charge per item...so I ended up with about $12 in shipping combined...I don't mind though.

Meh. It's not worth the extra work to cancel my LE preorder and get this, plus I like having games on the release date. I don't trust Amazon, anyways, after they screwed up like 17 different orders due to incompetence. Plus our local UPS/FedEx/USPS guys are all retards. When I got my Wii back from repair in December, he delivered it a few blocks away, even though the right address was on the box.

Looks like someone in Amazon woke up and changed it. The game is now being listed at $79.99.

Yikes! Back up to full price. Good thing I ordered it last night. Same with the Office Season 4 exclusive edition from Best Buy for 3 bucks more than the regular. Great day of deals I guess.

I had it pre-ordered from Amazon way back for retail price... I just went to check and it has been changed to $66.99 automatically. =->

I just pre-ordered it for 69.99. So I don't know if it's back to sale price, or what the issue is. All I know is that I snagged it, and I'm canceling my preorder at GameGeSTOPo later.

I can't see it at the discounted price. Every time I've checked it's been full $79.99. What's up with that? Am I doing something wrong?
