Jagged Alliance DS in development

For most of you, this news won't mean much, but we'd urge you to stick around anyway, just so you can see the look on the others' faces (it'll be worth it): A new Jagged Alliance is in development for DS by Strategy First Inc. and Cypron Studios. Aww, look at the fans lighting up! Look how they're doing that little happy dance around the room! Wasn't it worth it non-fans? Are you glad you stayed?If you're not familiar with JA, a turn-based tactical action game, it may not be a case of negligence on your part: There hasn't been a real iteration of the series since 1999. But, as we're sure the fans have already told you, it's worth tracking down. We know that Atari's publishing this new entry, but we don't have a release window (sorry, fans). But please, don't stop dancing, it's adorable.

Jagged Alliance 2 KICKS ASS, one of my most favorite strategy games of all time.

Rumor is Hired Guns: Jagged Edge will make it to retail by Xmas. Any JA fans longing for JA3 should definitely check this out.

I'm not buying this unless they keep that the gaudy "Romancing the Stone" style artwork and AOL sticker. Ha ha.

Agreed... if they don't have the mid-1980's poofy hair and characters who look like Miami Vice rejects, it won't be up to snuff.
Also that game box art brings back memories. God I feel old now.

Awesome! I played the hell out of some Jagged Alliance 2 back in the day. The only news that would make me more excited than this would be if X-com was being developed for DS (mmmmm....what a DS port that would be).

So soon we'll have CivDS, JADS, PopulousDS and MystDS* = the world is so awesome.
Just need Cannon FodderDS and PowermongerDS and we can all just curl up and never leave our DS Dens.
*bearing in mind that this sucks.
