I find it funny how fanboys use FFXIII on 360 as a defense.

Square-Enix: We're gonna stat development on a 360 version as soon as we finish releasing it EXCLUSIVELY on the PS3 in Japan. Oh and PS3 owners can import it. Japan is a dominante market in the gaming industry. You just now FFXIII will boost PS3 sales.

All Enix did was announce that they'll develop it later for 360.

Meanwhile PS3 gets a demo and an exclusive Japan release along with Versus remaining exclusive.

So the most fanboys can say about FFXIII is, at least its coming to my system sometime in 2010.

And your point? The only thing I really give a shit about is that I'll actually be able to play Final fantasy on my 360 without having to pay for a new console.

I wonder how MS is going to feel when it runs out of money to spend , and they are only able to make 2-3 exclusive games with in-house .

The question is, where are the MS exclusives? Sony had nabbed 7-8 major exclusives in the last 2 gens (PS1/PS2), ranging from DMC, FF to MGS and Onimusha and GTA. They did so by offering better technology (the PS1's CD drive) and by using its bigger user base. All we keep hearing about is MS desperately trying to snatch these exlcusives - but where are the 360 exlcusives?

In 2006 and early 2007, we saw new games like Saint's Row, Condemned, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Oblivion, GRAW, etc - all of these games started on the 360, and not a single one has stayed exclusive to the 360. So what was the use of the one-year lead? How many third-party developers have decided to be exclusive to the 360?

All that MS has "achieved" is to have non-exclusivity in 3-4 old PS franchises (GTA, DMC, FF13 in US), they have also paid tons of money to buy exclusivity on games Japanese love (Ace combat, Mistwalker, Tales, Star Ocean soon to follow) with ZERO results. And in the emantime, Sony is relling out one awesome first party game after another.

So.. the fact that Microsoft announced that there would be over 1000 games on the 360 by the end of this year means nothing? Considering that's about twice the amount the PS3 has.. I think your outlook on the whole idea is flawed.

If Sony no longer can afford to buy exclusive titles, Sony certainly can't afford to buy developers outright. As long as Sony refuses to invest in the Playstation's future, they will remain in 3rd place.

i think even Xbox fanboys have accepted that PS3 will eventually outsell Xbox 360 for the 2nd place in the console race by next year.

Point being is that 360 fanboys use FFXIII as a defense against the PS3 and say its another reason that PS3 blows. They talk as if FFXIII is a 360 exclusive and predict how much better it will be. But FFXIII isn't even in development yet for the 360 and their is nothing special going on for the 360 version besides the fact that its coming to North America at sometime. Whereas the PS3 version has all these leaks, and scans and even a demo. Plus the PS3 is region free so many will import it. So fanboys really cannot use FFXIII as a defense because obviously more things are happening with the PS3 version.

Arnon I already know about where Japan stands in worldwide sales. But even you should know that sales in Japan do matter.

Also for the guys who said MGS4 was coming to the 360, no just no. It isn't go read the Kojima article. Maybe Metal Gear 5 will come to the 360 but thats very unlikely. Kojima did say he wanted a new generation of Metal Gear. So in that new generation I believe it'll appeal to PS360. If he isn't done with MGS then chances are 5 will be PS3 exclusive.

Now heres something that I wanna say. FFXIII GOING MULTI-PLATFORM ISN'T THE DEATH OF SONY/PS3.

FFXIII is one rpg game from an overrated franchise.

Sony still has: White Knight, Valkyria Chronicles, FFVII series, FFXIII versus, FFXIII Japa Exclusive, Team Ico's un named game, The mysterious supposedly epic BBC reported game, Resistance Series, Socom Series, Metal Gear Series(for now maybes), Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, God of War, MAG, Dc Universe Online, Dark Cloud, Heavy Rain, Littlebigplanet, Wipeout, Gran Turismo, MotorStorm and many more.

So no, Sony isn't dead because of 1 jrpg game going to the X-box 360. You fail.

360 fans don't use it as a way of saying they exclusively have FFXIII.. they use it because FFXIII is a MAJOR incentive to purchase a PS3.. well, before it became multi-platform.

The point being is that, there are major names that portray to the Playstation.. things like God of War, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, etc.. and when people find out that one of these major franchises goes to the console that they own, they find no reason to purchase the other due to the fact that they feel more things will go multi-platform..

Imagine if FFXIII wasn't multi-platform.. it would push about 5x more units at the least... but considering what has recently happened, that number is significantly lowered.

A FFVII remake is not happening.. (Or at least, anytime soon). The point of that was to showcase the graphical output of the PS3.

Also, I believe that the BBC reported game was the Team ICO project.

Yeah it'll probably happen in 2017. 20th anniversary of FF VII.

The BBC guy already said it wasn't Heavy Rain or Team Ico's game. I want it to be Legend of The Dragoon D=

Well not all 360 fans use it increase that way but i'm usually speaking of fanboys from gamespot and 2% from here.

Wada said Fabula Niva Crystallis was never meant to be a PS3 exclusive. I still don't see why PS3 fanboys were so upset and in a state of shock. But it was a major blow to many but I already knew what to expect.

After all this is the age of “multi-platform” apparently.
