Want to pick the Resistance 2 cover art?

Video games have given so much to you, isn't it time you do your civic duty and give back? IGN is providing the perfect opportunity allowing you, the public, to vote on the cover art for the Resistance 2 Collector's Edition. OK, so it's not exactly Obama/McCain, but you work with what you've got.

IGN says that Insomniac is offering the choice to fans because "the studio can't seem to make up its mind," which is insulting to your intelligence, but probably not so insulting that you should avoid the vote all together. After all, it's not just a right, it's a responsibility.

Crap... they're all pretty awesome, but i'd probably have to say either 1 or 3.

The third one makes me want to turn my monitor upside down, and will most likely catch attention easier.

obviously 3, like everyone else says. Actually, I really like the Playstation Network tab. Kinda classes it up for me for whatever reason. But the "only for playstation" thing looks craptacular and cheap.

New "Only on PlayStation" and "PlayStation Network" bar looks hideous.

Same can be said for the only on Xbox 360 boxes they stamp on.

They never put the 'for humans only' stamp I lobbied for. :\

Whether or not the 360 branding looks hideous has nothing to do with what Neil said.

i like it, i just hope it doesnt come back to bite them when a game has that logo and later comes out for another system. kinda like bioshock on the 360.

They should make the entire tab smaller. The PS3 boxes are already vertically challenged, and instead of having a crappy "Only on PlayStation" that looks like it was done in MS Word by someone in the 6th grade, why not just a simple PS logo with the tag "Exclusive" or even "only".

3 Wins. 1&2 are the usual "Big Mean Motherfucker with Badass Shit in the background" and they suck.Got too stale and clichéd ever since every major shooter decided to have a cover like that.

1 and 2 look generic and 3 looks better overall. I agree with Neil, the only on PS3 and PSN labels look crappy.

Allowing me to vote on the cover art for the collector's edition makes me even more excited about this game!!!

I like the contrast of #3, and I know they are going for a mirror image effect, but I find the upside down portion to be a bit hard on the eyes. But part of that may be due to the fact that I can't easily flip it looking at the image on my monitor the way I would be able to flip the box.

I vote for #3.

I'm in Florida. Thus, I say the ballot is confusing and needs a recount, which will result in the least favorite winning.

You don't get the American voting system at all! First, everyone votes for a cover, but it doesn't matter what the popular vote says because Sony will have a group in their hierarchy, let's call them the Electoral University, that will actually decide what they want. Get it?

What is the point of voting when all three look like they dropped out of a generic cover-art machine?

These things are often decided by consumer surveys anyway. This is just turning a consumer survey into a marketing ploy.

Numbers one and two have no real focal point. 3 is a mixed bag too, but at least has contrast.

Is this for real? If the studio can't make up its mind about THIS, which is a no-brainer, I hope they're doing a better job making decisions on gameplay issues.

why do they even let you vote obviously #3 was their original boxart but to raise publicity they created this poll. They give you two ugly choices which are duplicates meaning people who actually for some reason like that design will have to split votes among 1 and 2.

They all suck besides cover 3.

I voted for # 1. It's solid. 3 has a nice idea but the execution isn't so hot. And 2 is just the worst.

Number 1: the face is lacking detail and looks awful up close.
Number 2: replace face with models and voila.
Number 3: Looks guys we saw this awesome art for this game I think its was called Fable or Story or something anyway I think it would look great for our game, nobdy will notice the similarities."

Seriously all 3 options are rather rubbish, numbers 1 and 2 look ametuerish and number 3 is far too much like the Fable cover art.

#1 for sure. Why? Because it's the fugliest. We all know Killzone 2 is going to destroy this POS. No one wants to admit it, but Resistance 1 was very BLAH. People jumped on it just because it was the PS3's first EXCLUSIVE "next gen shooter". It was a way for the Sony fanboys to wave their angry fists in retaliation of the Xbox Haloers. Yes, I own a PS3. Yes, I own a 360. Yes I played both Resistance and Halo 3 (also mildly sucks!). Please don't yell at me - I'm just a post-apocalyptic dude with a gun in a hockey mask. I am also a pap filled douchebag so there, I saved you the trouble.
