Want more Gundam-on-Gundam action? You've asked for it, you've got it -- at least in Japan. The arcade title Gundam vs. Gundam is headed for the PSP with some exclusive content. The 2 vs. 2 arcade fighter will feature over 30 playable units, with extra bonus ones unique to the PSP release, according to Famitsu. Other new content includes an ad-hoc mode that supports four players, tweaking of existing mechs, players profile exchange, music from the source materials and an installation option. The game's release window will be this November in Japan, where it is sure to sell like hotcakes. Check out the scans from Famitsu here.

Sounds cool but what I'd like to see is a Smash Bros. like 2D brawler with Gundams. I think that would be a great fit for the PSP.

Jump Ultimate Stars style then. It's just that the 3D aspect makes it a pain in the ass to play especially without 2 analog nubs; you constantly get blind sided and it hard to orient the camera fast enough.

arcade reference:
Each Gundam TV series(besides CC and F91 Movie), features 2 most famous mobile suit, usually the main character's suit and its rival set. Exception is Org. Gundam, featuring 4 in the arcade.
00 is spectuated to have 2 MS also, but only Exia is confirmed. And exclusively for PSP, Guncannon in Org. Gundam is somehow confirmed, more PSP exclusive MS will be anounced later.
Total No. of MS is going to be roughly the same as that back in SEED VS. portable, but with every MS having distinctive features and unique to control.
I spent quite a lot of cash on the arcade version. And MS balance is horrible, 7 of them are considered overpowered, and banned in some tournaments. However, this shouldn't be much of an issue in PSP.

I was HOPING and PRAYING this would come on the PS3 as well, since I've long wanted to play a Gundam VS. game on the Internet.
This is at least something, but this won't have infrastructure support........ :( :(

If any of the Gundam games actually had got to the US, that'd be great news.
