Hsu and Boyer's Sore Thumbs is a must-read

Maybe it's just because we're nerds for gaming journalism dirt, but we can't get enough of Sore Thumbs, a blog run by former EGMers Dan Hsu and Crispin Boyer. Now that both have moved on from the mag, they're spinning tales about the glory days of gaming journalism, often with shocking results.In the newest entry, for example, Hsu delves into the Ubisoft/Ziff Davis blackballing and how it, in a sense, played a part in his resignation. It's all fascinating stuff that's both unflinchingly honest and essential reading for informed consumers of game media.

Very interesting stuff. I don't trust reviewers much, too much bias. I really dont like IGN something seems fishy over there to me.

Shoe has been such a cool dude for the industry over the years. He was the best thing going for EGM. Not to say that Milkman can't do great things for the mag, but I'm just saying.

It's probably not such a great idea to burn bridges in an industry like the videogame industry, but I respect shoe for keeping his journalistic integrity as long as he did.
I hope they can find a decent web designer, and fast, because the new site isn't exactly pleasing to the eye. At least it isn't as bad as giant bomb, where you go to the main page and it looks like the site is basically a search engine. Only when you scroll down do you realize "oh! there is content here!". I only criticize because I want them to be successful, and most poorly designed sites don't stay around very long.

Also a very pretty DS, despite the fact that i hate michigan (i hate Ohio too. hate 'em both because i'm sick of hearing about the pointless rivalry)
