Two things to mention... There are a total of 18 chapters! Compared to the 5 that we had in the first game (although those were called acts). And the Seriously 2.0 ahcievement. Previously, it was thought that was to be done in single-player and co-op. According to this it says, across ALL modes. Which is awesome.

Oh, and also, the achievements still call it meat flag, and not submission (or whatever the hell they're calling it now).

Were the separate parts of each act called chapters? I find it a bit hard to believe that the campaign for GOW2 is more then 3 times longer then that of the first game.

Wouldn't the "I Can't Quit You, Dom - Complete all acts in
co-op on any difficulty" imply that Dom lives though the whole game?
If he was to die wouldn't that make it impossible to beat the game with him?

Variety is the Spice of Death

I hope that one makes it in. I like the sound of that. I also like the fact that there are no achievements that involve getting 100 kills with each weapon.

wow. 20+ achievements for just "advancing" in the single palyer mode. Talk about a waste of achievements. I like the ones that are kill x ammount of players with 1 grenade, etc etc. IThey need mroe of those. you shouldnt get achievements just for playing the game and beating levels. Maybe 1 acehivement for completing the game, but not one for eveyr damn act/level

Honestly, I prefer the games where the achievements require a lot of single player work. Not that there is anything wrong with multiplayer achievements, I just prefer the single player ones. But I believe a good achievement list balances between the two.

Meh, 10 points here, 10 points there. I like that they have some that will be fairly easy to get and others that will still be challenging. I think it's a good mixture.

i think these achievements are very cool. they set it up so that you can play the game for fun and not feel like you have to put in countless hours to get a single achievement. i'm sure this game is going to keep us coming back for more anyways.

and they will probably end up adding the weapon achievements too. they did say the list is incomplete so i would not doubt it.

007craft

I agree but they're only 10gp each. No biggie IMO. Some people (aka wierdos) rent games and never beat them. They just play MP. These ch33voz are for those people to say ahh Ill keep playing and beat it.

Wowza, So the E3 Footage must of been pretty late in the Game if the Brumak Rodeo Achievement is the 17th Chapter out of 19.

"August 28, 2008 - Early this morning a leaked list of achievements for Gears of War 2 made its way onto the Internet. After contacting Microsoft we have learned that the leaked information is not complete and only contains about 60% of the actual achievements. The full list, as well as linked achievements, will be revealed here on IGN.com tomorrow (Friday, August 28) at 10 AM."

Well I like the look of this, they all seem achievements that you will get eventually without having to force yourself to try the same thing over and over until you get it. In my opinion you should ave more single player points but not many achieves, and a fair few multiplayer that dont have as many points but alot of variety,
