.......eventually.
E.J. @ Aug 28th 2008 9:58AM
For sure... still waiting for Nevermind and Moving Pictures.
Until they deliver LAST year's promises, I'll reserve my excitement for this year's announcement.
T @ Aug 28th 2008 10:35AM
@EJ: Nevermind was NEVER promised. HMX has released statements regarding this a number of times.
It was mentioned as an example of the ala cart method "You could buy all of Nevermind, or just Smells Like Teen Spirit" or something like that.
The rumor hit the web and spun out of control.
jsn @ Aug 28th 2008 10:35AM
it was never promised...
E.J. @ Aug 28th 2008 5:25PM
I stand corrected. Sorry and thanks.
I still want Moving Pictures.
cranky @ Aug 28th 2008 9:22AM
Full Blood Sugar Sex Magik album... That just made my day.
oppression51 @ Aug 28th 2008 11:08AM

TrojanGuy @ Aug 28th 2008 1:52PM
Yesss!
Squibmacbooth @ Aug 28th 2008 4:24PM
Stay true to the funk, brother.
Honestly though, I know about 90% of the album on both guitar and bass anyway. I wonder how I'll take to the plastic?
Rabidkeebler @ Aug 28th 2008 9:23AM
I hate rhythm and music games, but I may even give in and pick this up. I mean complete Foo and Red Hot Chili Pepppers! On top of that Stevie Ray Vaughn!
Buckshot @ Aug 28th 2008 9:25AM

Manny @ Aug 28th 2008 9:27AM
OMG YES! I was hoping Foo Fighters would have a bigger impact in this Rock Band... and what better way than putting their best album in the game?
Only thing is if this game gonna cost me the same as RB1, I'm gonna hav to start saving up like now LOL
Farseer (GDI) @ Aug 28th 2008 12:06PM
You can just buy the RB2 disc, you know...
neal @ Aug 28th 2008 9:29AM

+1
VaultICEE @ Aug 28th 2008 6:48PM
If they put that song in the game at some point, I would sing that 15 times every single day.
Erluti @ Aug 28th 2008 9:33AM
That Foo Fighters album is amazing. But the cheat is that 50% of that albums amazingness is attributed to "Everlong" (the best song ever made), but that's already on RB2.
deaftly @ Aug 28th 2008 11:03AM
Totally, Colour and the Shape is def in my top 5 best albums ever
Double J @ Aug 28th 2008 9:36AM
Fuck yes, I've been dying for more SRV. Now I'm gonna get a full album.
Boffo the Sock @ Aug 28th 2008 9:36AM
I don't listen to these bands that you like therefore you suck. I only listen to indie rock and death metal by bands that even the college kid with the bad haircut hasn't heard of when I'm not listening to classic rock by people who were banging transvestites while most of you were sucking on your mother's teat. That pretty much makes me better than all of you. You are all pieces of crap for not liking the same stuff as me. Go somewhere and die. Ace of Bass rules!
Mighty Healthy @ Aug 28th 2008 10:24AM
It's Ace of BASE. I lost :(
BTW, nice Sifl & Olly avi!!!
As for this article: funny to see Foo & No Doubt get full albums, after their 3 packs in GHIII...I bought those, and I'll absolutely buy the upcoming two albums.
And Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
Boffo the Sock @ Aug 28th 2008 10:42AM
You are so crescent fresh. You're like so super cres.
dark_inchworm @ Aug 28th 2008 10:56AM
The pandas are coming!!!
that guy @ Aug 28th 2008 9:38AM
I'm actually banging my head to every one of these albums. Even the No Doubt best of thingy should get the gals into it a little more.
Though I enjoy Foo Fighter's TCATS, I would have preferred their first album. But beggars can't be choosers, I s'pose.
Boffo the Sock @ Aug 28th 2008 9:42AM
Hell yeah! I can't wait to play the Foo Fighter's rendition of the ThunderCATS theme song...wait, what?
Ghoti @ Aug 28th 2008 9:40AM
Stevie Ray Vaughan is the one I'm most pleased to see in the list!
baby sea tuna @ Aug 28th 2008 9:41AM
awesome! Colour is easily the best foo fighters album.
Top Cat @ Aug 28th 2008 9:44AM
Definitely. Quite possibly their only consistently good album for that matter!
sam @ Aug 28th 2008 9:42AM
Stevie Ray Vaughn -- "Texas Flood" and Foo fighters for sure!! Can't go wrong with some SRV
http://www.samalamadingdong.com
Kizzle @ Aug 28th 2008 9:52AM
Not a huge fan of any of these. Maybe I'll grab the Megadeth one.
Jomolungma @ Aug 28th 2008 9:43AM
Thank the heavens! SRV, BSSM, Jane's... ahhh!!!!!
Hakkerjak @ Aug 28th 2008 9:43AM
Wait...does this mean it won't work with the original Rock Band? Are they going to stop allowing the new downloadable content to be used with RB1? That would be kinda lame.
FFFTW (Foo Fighters for the win!)
Boffo the Sock @ Aug 28th 2008 9:52AM
According to an interview Joystiq did with Dan Teasdale a while back, the DLC should work for RB as well as RB2.
Joystiq: Does the company foresee a point when DLC will be made exclusive to the latest version?
DT: Not for Rock Band 2. We made it very clear that we want this to be a platform.

Rishard @ Aug 28th 2008 9:45AM
Until Nevermind comes out I don't believe this list will ever come around.
Cox Attack @ Aug 28th 2008 10:52AM
Really dude if you want to play Nevermind so bad, just get a guitar and look up the chords. I guarantee you can "master" the whole album in a weekend. The shit isn't complex. I don't know why anyone would think this album would be fun to play in a rhythm game.
Young_Nastyman @ Aug 28th 2008 11:43PM
hmm...and yet every other album announced has come out, why? BECAUSE NEVERMIND WAS NEVER PROMISED!!!
Amen Cox, imo, only Lithium would be fun to play.
SHAZAM! @ Aug 28th 2008 9:47AM
The Colour and the Shape!
Best Foo album by far! This just made my day and put RB back on top of GH once again, because the GH track list is shaping up nicely.
Blood Sugar Sex Magik is a nice album too, and I would never pass up some more Stevie, just so I can get some more hard guitar stuff. I can't wait for these...fantastic.
uranutan3 @ Aug 28th 2008 9:50AM
I'll cry if they censor Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
Paulzy @ Aug 28th 2008 10:12AM
They will. I wish they wouldn't but some of those lyrics are pretty rough. I wish they could read your family settings and censor if required, but I doubt it.
Jigga @ Aug 28th 2008 2:23PM
As long as they only change "What I want is I want to put it in you" to "What I want is I'd like to hug and kiss you" I'll be fine with it
Victus @ Aug 28th 2008 9:59AM
SRV FTMFW!!!! Give me MOAR SRV!!
Steph @ Aug 28th 2008 10:00AM
Megadeth, Foo Fighters, Chili Peppers, Oh My!!!
Keep bands like these coming!
bounchfx @ Aug 28th 2008 10:13AM
this just made my fucking day. Getting all of them... on the fence about the no doubt one, however. Can't wait!!!!
Jason @ Aug 28th 2008 10:13AM
I was gonna pass on RB2 but the full album of Blood Sugar Sex Magic changed my mind. I just hope they don't edit Sir Psycho Sexy at all, that would suck.
Risby @ Aug 28th 2008 10:14AM
I tought RB1 and 2 would share all the same songs?!
Zoot Suit Jedi @ Aug 28th 2008 10:44AM
The win in this announcement is incomprehensible.
valdemiro @ Aug 28th 2008 10:17AM
Wow! That's some good stuff there.
/peers over at the Guitar Hero IV downloadables
G$ @ Aug 28th 2008 10:26AM
I really hope mature lyrics will be available this time around. Including that as an option would be great. That way parents who can't take the time to explain art/music to their children won't have to upset the apple cart.
Xoviet chiK @ Aug 28th 2008 10:50AM
They shouldn't even need the option of clean lyrics. They can rate downloads separately from the game. LUMINES LIVE! is rated E, while some of the content available is rated E-10. I don't see why they don't just M rate explicit DLC.
