Team ICO's next game may be shown soon

Yoshida tells the site that plans for the Tokyo Game Show have not been finalized -- presumably, the show would be the last major opportunity this year to reveal the project. It's about time this game made its public appearance, don't you think?

All I really want is a remake of Shadow. The game was pure distilled art, but the graphics were downright muddy and the framerate left something to be desired.

Team ICO is actually working on two PS3 projects- current speculation is that one is this new IP and the other is an updated, multiplayer Colossus game (which was hinted at in development footage of the original with multiple horse-riders attacking a Colossus).

I agree, it, and ICO for that matter, need a remake. SOTC especially were held way back by the weaksauce PS2.
Heck while we're on the topic... Remake Advent Rising, It's my favorite bad game of all time. I played it a few weeks ago, jeez the frame rate is bad, it drops in the teens like every 2 minutes :\

I'm also waiting for a public appearance of the next Getaway game, if it's still in development.
I haven't had an excuse to use the family PS3 since my parents bought it (God knows why, we don't even have an HDTV), since all the third party games go to the 360.

Considering how the Fur was done (aka, and eight layer polygonal shell with a large amount of alpha), I'm suprised they could get it working on PS2 at all. It did create a gorgeous effect though and one which I directly stole for when I have to do signs at work...

I got a Motorstorm 80GB on craiglist a few months back for the team ICO games and MGS4 (and now thankfully a few more coming down the pipe).
Depending on if the seller knows BD PS3s are no longer sold you can get one on the cheap.

Get it off eBay. I just skimmed the list and many of them are below $450 and include free shipping. That's a much better deal then the current PS3s.

Why do so many people want a remake of the old games INSTEAD of an entirely new and better game? They arent Square, there is no fear that the next game is going to be crap compared to their old games. They will come out with a new innovative game and it will blow minds. Im sure people will forget all about SotC when they show the first teaser trailer.
